Forums - Nintendo - NoA: There are more than 80+ games currently in development for #NintendoSwitch

80+ games? I counted 31. Mario Kart, Ultra Street Fighter 2, Skyrim, and Minecraft are just old ports ( some with enhancements. ) I would say that is more like 27. This is a poor launch in my opinion. If there are more than 80 games being made, then what are the titles or working titles?

Ok, the list in this post is not complete. There is a much longer list, but only 40 some have a release date or frame. Most games looked very unintetesting to me. I hate to look like  bad guy, but outside of about 5 games I'm very unsold on this very expensive, overpriced system.

It's okay, man. We all know that you are very biased.

Im not really biased except toward Microsoft, because of their online gaming push and lack of Japanese games. I have owned multiple Nintendo systems. I just feel like they have done a terrible job for years. What happened to the great Nintendo? It used to have powerful systems with great launches. Where is Metroid? Where is Final Fantasy? Where are the big 3rd party system sellers? Many first party games in year one? Huge 3rd party support like back in the SNES days? Why are they shooting themselves in the foot with an outrageous price for a system with weak power and little internal storage? The cost of accessories and one game skyrockets the price past PS4 pro!

See what I mean, friend?

You didn't need to explain. I already told you that I know.

It seems you didnt get my point. Im not biased because if Nintendo got their act together, I would support them again.

I am actually really glad the line up for this year is not anything amazing because I cannot imagine how dissapointed in myself I would be if I picked up this device for its current price.

Anyway, when you start counting indy games and the next farm simulator and games that where out ages ago on other consoles, 80 seems like a terrible number.

Wouldn't a comparison of PS4's first year after launch make more sense in that matter though as obviously being in it's fourth year it would have more games in the pipeline then a newly released platform.

I had a quick glance at wikipedia's list for PS4 games, and i counted 159 releases in the first year in NA (might be a couple off, i couldn't be bothered to double check and count again :p). I thought it was a lot less for some reason. I seem to remember many 2014 releases as 2015.

Did that take a lot of time or was it more a result of ctrl + f and looking at the number of results and subtracting or dividing by how many repeated times it appears for the same game?

I imagine that many games were indie games, since I kind of doubt some of the major devs can pump out games that quickly (and a quick search does show a good handful of them around launch and launch window for PS4).

Not to say the same isn't true for the Switch since it probably is.

80 games, We know already 68 of them, and not one of those game, is an upcoming AAA from a western third party.
Quite amazing.

I doubt we will start seeing those unless Switch starts to sell really well. The only real rumor so far is the new Asscreed game, and a game from like 8 years ago lol.
