It should have options, if Nintendo isn't dumb. Mix the audio like your standard gaming headset, or choose to only listen to chat and have the audio come through the TV, or have it all on the TV.

M$ and Sony already do it that way. You can even choose to use Kinect for voice chat and have the sound come from the TV back on the Xbox 360. Even offer different volume options for chat and game audio.

That would simplify stuff sure. So you think the phone app will have the "voice chat" come through the TV and blend in with the game audio?

Controllers already do it (PS4/Xbox One) and they're not powerful at all. Phones can already stream content from the TV/internet if you use the PlayStation or Xbox apps*--which I do. Even my old free tablet that I got from Verizon a few years ago is capable. I'm sure Nintendo could do it.

*I'm speaking of game DVR content

It's going to be bigger than Wii/PS4 guaranteed and it can beat DS/PS2 too.

It might not get the Titanfalls and Destinys but it's exceptionally well placed to get the next Minecraft/Rocket League.

'Casuals' who want more than touschscreen combined with portable AAA versions for the core. Add in local multiplayer on the go and you have a new cultural phenomena about to start.

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

I know it's going to be even further outclassed by the upcoming Scorpio and last year's PS4 Pro but, if certain sources are to be believed, it should be able to run Xbox One ports. If (and there is a lot of room for error) its a huge success, 3rd parties will come--if for nothing more than Xbox 360 and PS3 ports.

7th gen has aged exceptionally well, IMO. I'd be okay with some of those games on the go with no compromise.

1. It doesn't have nearly the mainstream hype that the Wii did.

2. What it's price is adjusted for inflation doesn't matter.

3. It remains to be seen if the Switch is a redemption console for Nintendo.

4. It doesn't have a Wii Sports to drive casual audiences to it.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

All I ask is that VGChartz holds together for another year. I'm ready to eat/serve some crow in January.

Where's the rule that says 'another Wii-Sports' has to come at launch?

Wouldn't 'another Minecraft' be just as good as 'another Wii-Sports'?

Mario Odyssey looks galaxies better than the 3 last 3D Mario but unfortunately à success à la Mario Galaxy is unlikely because MG resonnated more with casuals , MO will bé more oriented for gamers

I wonder about this, too. Simple (2D) Mario is way more accessible than 3D Mario. Is it too soon for a new New Super Mario Bros.? I was burned out on them by the time NSMBU arrived.

To be fair, neither Pokemon nor Monster Hunter have been confirmed as coming to Switch.

Switch is the new portable platform. It will get those and all other normally portable titles along with a staple of home console titles. This should be already obvious but will surely be come E3.

Or they could just keep making Monster Hunter and Pokemon games for 3DS.

Exactly, btw thé next Ace Attorney is announced exclusively on 3DS, i never Saw this.

It means only One thing, Switch is treated liké à home console and 3DS will remain. Thé handheld console of Nintendo until 4DS.

I think all this " unified library "was à bullshit and theyll keep making 2 platforms
