Forums - Sales - **Official** 5 million Game Club Of All Time

I know Half Life 2, Doom, Doom 2,Quake, Duke Nukem 3d, Wolfenstein 3d, Starcraft should all be on the list but I can not find the sales data on those games on this site.

... and Half-Life 1, CounterStrike, Diablo 2, Warcraft 3, WoW: The Burning Crusade, Call of Duty 4 (if it has not happened yet, it will eventually), god knows how many Sims expansion packs, etc...

Also, Sims 2 has not sold just 5 million, but has sales of 13 million. Hell, Sims 2: Pets expansion pack alone has sold 6 million copies.

forget PC, PCs cannot be compared to console because we do not Seperate them into Generations.

Also, I am sure there are a few PC games that have sold more than 5 million...

We should seperate PC gaming into different eras... Pre Windows, 3.1 - 95... Online era... whatever.



End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

No, COD4 PC is probably the best-selling version of all. It could have very well sold 1 million on Direct Download alone, and it is pretty much still on top 10 PC of every country.

I think Starcraft probably has over 5 million in sales from Korea alone.

I have no problem counting WiiSports as a 5 million seller. The game is going on 3 million sales in Japan, It would have 2 million sales between NA and others without any doubt. WiiPlay on the otherhand is not that great, and I really doubt it would have sold 5 million.

Even if you remove those games, the Wii will still take the lead in a couple weeks.
