I don't want him losing his job or anything, tho, but IMO he is doing a disservice to his company.

The sad thing is that he is most likely doing his best with what he's been given by his japanese masters.

I don't remember the exact wording, but instead of just elevating Iwata on it, he was making a comparision of him with other people saying people overuse the word unique because we all want to be, but Iwata was one of the very few that trule were.

I know it wouldn't sound as bad now, but inside his emotial speech it completely stood out to me, even if he thinks that, and even if it is true, he just said to the entire audience they just think they are something but aren't.

Yeah, he said that. And that's the only thing that was a little questionable. But it wasn't really that bad.

Not to mention that we didn't even have the nintendo bonus program in scandinavia while the rest of europe, america and japan had it.

That's because it wasn't NOE that imported the games there, but Amo and Bergsala.

There are a lot of games that NoA localized that NoE didn't, if one game is enough to sway you to NoE, guess it's pretty tough to be in your shoes


On a side note 2008 is 9 years ago, makes me feel old :/

I dunno. There's so many twitter handles to go to in the Playstation ecosystem. Starting from Shu, Giocorsi, to even the engineer behind the PS4 UI (iirc we got PNG captures after people nagged him on twitter).

Xbox has Phil and Major Nelson I guess? But they seem to be about as useless as Reggie getting games cancelled left and right.

I guess Reggie is better than everyone else because he doesn't cancel games or close studios left and right. And brought Rime to Switch.

Just my opinion but after Iwata took over the Nintendo game (Heisenberg Style) he killed off all potential competition to Kyoto and that included NOA and NOE. Both are basically puppet states to Kyoto now. And that's a shame. Howard Lincoln did great things for NOA.

Are you having a laugh? Before Iwata NOE was a circus and the most irrelevant branch of any gaming company he sorted them out and put them on the path they're on today.
