If you dont like the system then dont buy it but that level of entitlement is ridiculous, is their product and they are thinking on the market as a whole, wether it satisfy your needs or not is up to you to decide.

Yes, and the calculation they made is that a large enough portion of their userbase care enough about handhelds that they can focus on that. Enough of their players are either handheld exclusive, or play on both handheld and consoles that it made the most financial sense.

However, that means that if you're someone who is a Nintendo fan, but doesn't play on a handheld, Nintendo no longer has a system for you.

It's not a sense of entitlement. After twenty years of buying their consoles Nintendo has said they don't want my business and I'm not the only one.

Yes they have, wether you think is worth or not at that price is up to you but this thing is more powerful than the WiiU, was Wiiu not worth of the homeconsole title or something? If you are really looking for a Nintendo homeconsole then you have a machine 3 times more powerful than Wiiu with a unified library for almost the same price that WiiU has right now, is really not worth it? The console that will have future Mario, Pokemon, AC, Monster Hunter, Zelda, Pikmin, Splatoon, Metroid, Smash, etc etc is not worth for a homeconsole only Nintendo fan just because is 300$ and not high end tech? I'm not sure about that.

Thats not the calculation they made, thats the way it is, period. You can look at the sales of the portables versus the home consoles and there is a big difference. Cant really blame them for going more handheld, i get it that you feel you are being shafted but sometimes you gotta take a limb to save the whole body

What news? That is costs 300$ without a game, those are news?

Maybe the news is that they can't sell it for less than 300$ or even include a game for that amount. Because if that's what Reggie is trying to say, it means that Nintendo won't be able to react and make a price drop if sales aren't as high as they want/need without having big losses.

But what is he supposed to say anyways? "Nah this thing is cheap but we sell it at 300 to see if we can have profits and if things go wrong we go down to 250$ with a game bundled and solved" or something on the lines? wether he is right or not on his answer that's the logical thing to answer anyways.

Hell, you'd have to pay me to play 1-2 Switch. That thing should be free at least.

OT to be fair most systems dont have a packin game when they first release. Now with that being said 1-2 Switch NEEDED to be packaged cause I dont see that thing selling alot at full price, unless its 30 below. That game needed to be packaged to show off the HD rumble, which i wouldnt be surprised if it turns out to be another gamepad or Kinect 2.0 where it barely gets used.

What he should have said is nothing. He can't say that they didn't include a game because the console is already 300$ because there's no possible defense for that. They have either screwed up the hardware cost again, which would be a repeat of Wii U's mistake, or they are ripping us.

A gently silence would have been a much better answer than what he said.

Please excuse my bad English.

Will probably sell 5-10 times more than most third party games.

How much you think it will sell lifetime? Most 3rd party what? AAA titles? No AA? A? B?

It certainly didn't need to come with an HDMI cable. But that is probably just $3 in cost added. They could sell a 1-2 Switch bundle for $329 though.
