That thing is going to bomb badly in Europe at the very least.

Also the device is clearly not aimed at casual players, and investors don't like that.

Be careful with you excessive certainty because the crow  will be bitter...

You should have said like that: In my opinion, switch could be a big bomba in Europe!

It's not an opinion, I can bet my life on it.

-it's too expensive

-the accessories are crazy expensive

-the media is not behind it at all, calling it "underpowered, expensive, overly complicated" and stuff like that

-the games are too much aimed at the japanese market and not enough at the western market

There is no way the Switch will  be a success in europe. Not without some big changes, starting with the price.

As for US and Japan, I'm less sure, but I would bet on a mild success for those market, it will do better than the WiiU on those, for sure.

Wait what? How is the Switch NOT aimed at casuals?

- 300 bucks

- the design has too many buttons, 2 thumbsticks, and the color and shape look like a hardcore gaming device. I mean look at the Wii, look at the DS lite, now look at the Switc, spot the differences. It's pretty simple to see why they won't respond well

- Nintendo didn't make any  games using the touch screen or didn't promote the touch screen

-Too complicated for casuals too, the joy cons, the modularity. I've been saying for the last 3 months, and now a lot of the media are finally saying the same. That system tries to do so many stuffs, it gets really confusing for non-hardcore gamers

-Where are the casual games? Where is mario 2D? Animal Crossing? Mii? And so on

The only casual thing I can think of is 1.2 switch, good luck selling that 50 bucks game with a 300 bucks console to casuals. They are going to rush in to buy it...

I really don't know why people think casuals would be interested in the Switch, besides Reggie saying "we are targeting everybody, it's made for everybody".

Well then it sures looks like they tried to put everything to please everybody, but that doesn't mean that it's a good fit for the casual market.

You have no idea what you are talking about. Those points don't determine casual interest.

You are getting into the details that casuals don't even look at before buying.

It costs $300, it doesn't have a pack in game, has paid online, and an extra controller costs $80. That doesn't sound like it targets casuals to me.

Casuals play games on devices that are twice as expensive. Price is nothing.

They don't buy phones to primarily play games, they buy it because it's a tiny computer with a camera that can do a lot of cool stuff and play games on it.

They don't give a rat's ass for a 300$ gaming machine.

I think this video has played a larger role in negative investor confidence that people realize. It's done things to me. Things I need to see a doctor about.

At first I was like "dafuq did I just watch", but then I saw these:

High prices in contrast with the Wii. Wii was a success because of casuals, and casuals looked it up because of price. At least, thats what I can see, but dont take it as a fact.

i think i'm going to make a thread to answer that...

...but the switch is more targeting core gamers then casuals.

Good. Pressure to lower prices mounts.

Casuals play games on devices that are twice as expensive. Price is nothing.

Most of which are smart phones where it costs them $0 up front, and the price is rolled into their smart phone's contract. Price is everything.

Hahah...

Yeah because Nintendo needs pressure to do this...

I hope the have provided for the future to be able to cut switch price without any money loss/keep making enough profit!
