The Switch footage that was shown could be PS4 footage. Remember when EA showed the PC version of Battlefield 3 for the WiiU? Anyway, going to add a link to this thread from this other thread, if you don't mind.

Yeah, i also felt this way. Altough could be just different times off the day. Looking at the helmlet of the girl, it seem that the tradional consoles have more shaders, probably PBR, while switch don't. We can even see that the sun reflect on the snow on the switch version, while in the tradional consoles, it doesn't.

For those interested, i took footage from 2 videos and compared. The switch footage was in the "3rd party reel" of the switch presentation. The Current gen footage was taken from another video that, while didn't specified a console, had the most close scenes to what was shown in the nintendo trailer. Here are the videos:

Both seems to be a locked 30fps footage, i took the 1080p source. Even on the switch video, where it seems that is 60fps, for this specific game, it seems to be 30fps.

There are very few comparison to be made, since so few 3d 3rd party games where annuonced, even less where playable, the only that can be traged a direct comparison is dragon quest heroes, but that game was also in ps3/psvita, so...

I Suspect we will get a lot of these over time. A lot of times these comparision video follow Nintendo products if there is a graphics kerfuffle.

Twilight Princess HD had a lot of them after the initial reactions of 'did they even change anything'.



The Democratic Nintendo fan....is that a paradox? I'm fond of one of the more conservative companies in the industry, but I vote Liberally and view myself that way 90% of the time?

Xbox 360 was able to pull off a competent looking port of Rise of the Tomb Raider and that is one of the best looking games I've ever played. Switch is beyond that so it's good enough for me and my needs.

Good game, I got it for PS4 but if I knew it was coming to Switch I would have bought it on that just to show a bit of support for 3rd party on a Nintendo system.

There were clear differences, one had more aliasing and wasn't running at very high res, also the snow effects after landing that snowboard was way shittier looking on the supposed Switch version. Though I can't help but wonder how that game would play with motion controls cause I kinda wanna play that with the joycons.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

BTW, the supposed Switch footage looks like it's pulled from another platform, anybody that agreed with my graphics comparison needs to get slapped. ^_-b
