Forums - Gaming - Absolutely no hype for splatoon 2

Maybe because I play Splatoon a lot, I noticed quite a lot of differences with the trailers

Of course the fundamentals are the same, but even the ink looks different, spawn times are faster, vertical flicks, rolling, modified specials, etc.

My main issue is paid online, I think this game looks fun. Too many changes from the original would make me more hesitant to be honest

Could be worse, and look worse than the game before it. (Looking at you Xenoblade 2)

I was actually impressed by that game. Some places like the air ships almost looked pre-rendered they looked so nice.

Paying monthly fee for some hour multiplayer, is not fun.

any of this confirmed?

Yes the gameplay and trailer on Youtube show new maps, weapons, clothing, abilities, and at they show they confirmed new a new mode co op mode and they said they will show more modes closer to launch. A new SP is a safe bet because in the trailer a new character with grey hair was shown.

I dont think thats confirmation of a SP mode until they say there is one. I hope there is

Actually, the grey hair character seems to be Marrie :P.  But it does have new singleplayer.  It takes place in a new city it seems and the Treehouse confirmed it's a whole new campaign taking place 2 years after the first game.

Ok cool, now I know

It looked good but the game is dead to me locked behind an online paywall.

No, we don't need to hype the game, because we know it will be good and we know we will buy it nonetheless the moment it releases.

The question is, will the fanbase keep playing once the online fee activates?

Oh yeah, people will pay for it, specially to play Splatoon

At least someone was then.
