I have to say that I'm really disappointed with Nintendo. This has the same WiiU prone to fail story written all over it. Again if I want a normal controller I have to spend extra money, again the console is very short on internal storage space so I have buy a extra storage (in this case sd card) , and again no proper Ethernet port.

I was (and still am) very disappointed of the lack of an Ethernet port on the Wii U, but for the Switch I can understand that decision.
How should that work when docking or undocking the device? Should it use ethernet when the Switch is in its dock and flawlessly switch to WiFi when taking it out of the docking station? Could work, but what happens when I put the Switch in a different docking station in another room / house / town after that?
Will it then connect with the different LAN flawlessly?

You mean like my macbook does on a daily basis? It's not hard to do. Every smartphone out there switches between diffrent wlans effortlessly, and computers can switch between diffrent Lans and Wlans with no problem. This isn't the 90s when even the most basic internet connection required a slew of drivers and a 30 page booklet to establish...
Also, the WiiU ethernet port is rumored to work on it, don't know if that was confirmed though. I'm more interested to know how they'll solve online mp on the go, as the presentation seemed to imply it's possible at several points.
As for the dock itself. If it really is as barebones as it seems then there's no reason third parties shouldn't pick up the slack and release cheaper docks down the line.
