There's definitely more games, I mean they didn't even announce the obligatory Ubisoft game! Plus from Nintendo we know Animal Crossing, Pikmin, and a new IP from Retro are in the works. Not sure why they think holding out is a good idea at this point though.

On their defence, they need to have games to announce throught the year.So holding things back is smart.Having said that, this presentation could have used 2 more Nintendo games.

Yes, but unlike the other two companies Nintendo doesn't have one massive reveal a year, they spread it out a lot more than MS and Sony. we are still just getting used to it because it is so different than Nintendo used to be with E3 being the big show for them in the past.

They've been holding back for over two years now. At some point you have to announce stuff, and now was a crucial time, moreso than any other point in the year. Waiting til after Switch sales start falling off isn't smart, certainly wasn't for Wii U.

But you need to consider that E3 is a bit more than 3 months away from the launch, and they also need to make a big splasch in it.So holding its big guns for it, announcing two or three big games for 2017/early 2018(first party games) there, is also smart.

As I said, they should have announced a bit more games, but the selection was very good.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

That doesn't really change what I what I said, now is more important than any point in the year including E3. I'm not saying announce everything, but they coulda gave us more than motion control gimmick games and games they basically revealed already in the Switch preview. Xenoblade 2 is good but we needed more than that especially to counter all the bad news.

That I agree with you.As I said, they could have really used 2 more games.Maybe the inteligent systems game and another team game.

well to be honest and I said it elsewhere

I would have been happy if the new zelda was the only launch title as it is a long game and be more satisfied to see that 40 games are in development to be released in 2017

what we got was

zelda, xeno 2, a some what weird looking mario in new york, two casual games and two token third party games.

i am honestly scared for the future of the library and it will be my first Nintendo console i won't buy at launch

Wait so you agree with me and say that but still believe they were smart here, that's a bit contradictory, unless you're saying no matter what Nintendo does it's always a smart move lel.

No dammit.I disagree with you in the sense that they should reveal all of their cards, or most of them. The NEED to hold off big games, like Animal Crossing or Metroid for example for other events like E3.But they could have used a bit more games for the reveal, like the game intelligent systems is developing.

The point Im trying to make is that Nintendo needs to keep the momentum going, and if the burn themselves by making a big splasch now but having nothing to show for the next year, it will be bad for them.

They said 80 in development. They showed off 25-30 so close to 50.

But I never said all, and most still means they have stuff left. Sooner is more important than later, because the Switch's support from both Nintendo and third partys depends on it's initial sales performance, so it is smarter to reveal stuff asap. Don't want another Wii U situation where it was too late to be saved and third partys n Nintendo quickly gave up on it.

The bold is you agreeing with me again. :L
