Oh lol .
That's a pretty old game
I mostly agree.
One thing I find particularly disgusting, but not a lot of people seem to care about... The fact that they didn't announce the price of the online! You'll have to pay later, you'll get a NES/SNES game for a month (apparently not "kinda permanently" like the others), but no idea about the price. I think it's mischievous, pushing people to buy the console at launch without this additionnal fee, just to put it (and announce the price) in a few months. It could be worse and they could not announce anything about a paid online, but still, that's a crappy move.

It is, indeed, it's gonna turn 18 this December. |
Hm. Usually when a company ignores a game like that for so long it means it's not a very important game.
I just wish the controllers didn't have a ton of features. Its just gonna confuse developers and drive up the cost. I thought this would be a good old "basic" Nintendo console, but it seems to have every feature from the last 30 years in it...
I think that Nintendo thinks they can justify paid online with Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon 2 alone. That's why they're releasing their multiplayer titles before the actual paid online update, so people will pick them up, say "God DAMMMMMMMMN is this good" and then be forced to pay when the system is updated. Kind of a scary thought because it means that if third parties leave, then all you will have is Nintendo games and the occasional exclusive and third party game. It's a big troublesome because it eithers means people won't pay for the online so less people will play the game they rightfully purchased, or it means that you'll have to waste money on a few games.
I kinda took it the same way as you did.
Price is the biggest issue for me........
And the release dates...... I think Nintendo's plan is not bombarge the launch by having everything packed (yes, Switch launch sucks but there is Zelda)...... But by everything spread out.
Nintendo knows they are not getting the yearly third party games.......... Sooo maybe this will work for them.
Pocky Lover Boy!

Well... i jumped on the Nintendo 3rd party bandwagon. I think they should go portable only or 3rd party. I still care about some of their franchises, but i don't want to buy their hardware anymore.
