Virtual Console, specifically Mother 3 and Melee.
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

This. I want to know what the heck was happening during that last year drought. Did they spend all the time working on Arms?
Either way, I expect the Switch to have a good or modest launch, with poor sales afterwards. E3 is their last chance to turn it around and show the damn point of merging their console and handheld sectors. |
I think Switch's sales will be fine honestly. Like you said, the Wii U didn't have much games in its final year since Nintendo was making games for the Switch, so they should have plenty of games made/being made for Switch by now to the point where there's at least one BIG one releasing each month.
For example, we already know that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is releasing in April.
Then in May maybe they can release Arms or something like that.
Then June something like Splatoon 2.
I don't think we're looking at a Wii U situation where there's a long draught early on in the first year, I think the Switch will have at least one big game each month. That should manage to keep sales up each month and have the system consistently be selling well.
Why the Dock's necessary. This system has me asking "Why?" way too many times.
Pikmin 4 doesn't exist, it's the 3DS game that's the only Pikmin game in development.

1. Third-party game announcements
How in the hell can a Fifa game announcement be on such an important event like this?! Announcing a 6 years old game being ported to the console as one of the major third party games is also just embarrassing (Skyrim)...
2. Surprising first-party game announcements
No announcements surprised me and that is a shame for such an big presentation from Nintendo. Splatoon 2, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 etc. don't count because we all knew they would happen.
3. An overall more up to date hardware
Switch feels's just like Wii U situation all over again... I am calling it now, PS4/Xbox One graphics will be superior to Switch graphics just like this was the case with PS3/Xbox 360 being superior to Wii U.
4. Better launch line-up
Let's be honest the only true launch game available for Switch is Zelda...
5. Better price
$300/350€ is joke for this hardware considering PS4 is already available for $250. It's a rip-off from Nintendo. How do they explain this expensive price-tag? It's definitely not the specs.
6. Paid online service
Nintendo really has to improve their online service before they make this step. They should give the users free games like PS Plus every month for example.
