Forums - Nintendo - I'm the only one who disappointed with Xenoblade 2 artstyle?

i thought it looked great.

But screw the look, the main point is that the game seems to be story focused this time around. X took a hit in the story department compared to chronicles.

XCX is such a mess of a game. It has really good components, but it's so segmented, poorly paced and incredibly badly put together, badly explained and executed that the first game comes out a much better package overall. Which is strange considering second games in a series usually build upon the good from the first game and improve things from there. But XCX wins in graphics, and that's about it.

I really liked the art style! So much better than Xenoblade X :P

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

It looks a lot better than Xenoblade X, that's for sure. The characters already look human (albeit anime-ish), that's a start.

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Well, I generally hate when they cast 5 year olds as main heroes. It certainly lacked the style of the first one. Maybe gameplay and more characters can make up for it..

Game looks terribly bland. It reminded me cheap cartoon jrpgs from PlayStation 3 era. I expected some graphical bump after XCX.

And why the hell sequel for original Xeno? Why another monado boy? Say goodbye to Mira and flying Dolls.

And why did the hell should they have stuck with Mira and flying dolls? They went for that for the second game instead of sticking to the setting of the first game. Did you complain then? Why the hell a sequel to XCX? -____-

And the graphics so far look more advanced than those in XCX. We haven't seen much yet, of course, but the grass alone is one heck of a step up over what's in XCX. That's not mentioning the character design, which was notoriously bad in XCX.

I like the art-style and the characters models and faces look good. The bad thing is that this game won't be coming out anytime soon :( Edit: Well, nevermind it seems the game is coming out this year, at least in Japan.

It looks aggressively generic, to be honest but not as god awful as how X's characters looked. Glad they ditched the mecha stuff though.

I thought it looked fine. The character models looked better than ever at least.

Yeah, XCX looked better.

New look is a bit too childish and generic.

The only problem is in character's models, the world looks great
