Made much harder by the scalpers. I never actually considered the fact that there could be Nintendo fans.. that were also scalpers.

I figured how can you be a fan of something, while also wanting to deprive others (or charge them a large price) to get what they are also a fan of.

I guess people didn't read it but yeah. It's just a rumor ...

Anyway, if I'll have to wait after launch to get it then that's it, I'll wait. I'm not picky on that kind of stuff.

Wish I had your patience. If Super Mario Switch is a launch title and I cant play it, then Ill bitch like theres no tomorrow...

If its anything like Wii U all I gotta do is wait 3 months then I'll have all the consoles I want.

What? Do Nintendo give you their consoles after 3 months?

They were for sale

I didn't know it existed at launch so I wouldn't have got one anyway. I ended up getting Wii U after the WWHD bundle came out. And again later when I didn't want to damage my pristine WWHD bundle.

Besides artificial scarcity being a classic Nintendo move, the fact is, they're going to be cautiously optimistic and avoid over production. At launch, if there are consoles sitting on the shelf waiting to be bought, the system will be perceived as not doing well. If it's sold out, even if simply due to being under produced, that still looks better for Nintendo than having even one system gathering dust in a Gamestop or Amazon warehouse.

It sounds like Switch preorders go live here in the US tomorrow. Good luck getting a preorder everyone. The scalpers are going to be all over this like monkeys on an overturned banana truck.

Getting ready to order 20. :D

And what is your ebay account and how much will you sell the other 19 for? Just incase.

Hey! They got SONY on my amiibo! Wait a minute. Two great gaming tastes that game great together!

Is that Shokio again? You like that guy way too much and based on the information we have, it's logical to assume that Shokio would come up with illogical reasoning.

I didn't and won't watch the video, so I am just going to respond to what I think it is about. Nintendo's forecast of 2m units for the first two weeks. For comparison, for a holiday launch (mid-November to end of December, that's six weeks) companies tend to ship around 4m nowadays. Shokio is an idiot.

Its ReviewTechUSA...

I clicked the YT link, saw the channel and the word "rumor" and immediately closed the tab.

Whatever the case, how does one distinguish between artificial scarcity and demand outgrowing supply?
