As much as I like Insomniac, I'd rather From Software make a new Metroid. It fits perfectly with their narrative ways and atmospheric exploration. They would just need to learn how to make some good puzzles.

The last thing Metroid needs are puzzles. 3D Metroid is fine at atmosphere. What it's bad at is movement mechanics, which is Insomniac's specialty.

What? But Metroid is filled with puzzles... traditionals and non-traditionals. Even getting from one place to another can be a puzzle in Metroid. I also don't think movement mechanics are a problem (or maybe I didn't get what you said right).

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

Then we have very different perspectives on what a puzzle is lol.

As for movement mechanics, check out my article "The 'Super' in Metroid." It should clarify.

It's Bungie ;)

Hope it's true and hope it's From Soft or Insomniac.

Both are fantastic choices.

But I doubt either has the resources available atm for any large scale work on Metroid. From seems to be pretty busy with quite a few projects, and Spiderman I think is a big undertaking for Insomniac.

But yeah, if it happens, cool.

To be fair do you expect the Spiderman game to have a high budget ? When was the last time a high budget/good spiderman game was made ?  It's probably Sony's attempt at milking the IP because they know that Disney is likely gona take it back VERY soon...

He stopped saying Laura Kate Dale supports his rumors because he(paraphrasing) said "Laura Kate Dale has confirmed all my rumors" and she replied " no i did not". He then deleted the comment.

If i wanted a studio to make a new Metroid... it would be from software. a man can dream

I almost got a panic attack because he yells and screams all the time. What's his problem?

I am a Nintendo fanatic.

Its like you have no idea how licensing actually works.

Sony doesnt own the gaming license for Spiderman. Only the movie license. Why do you think Activision were magically making Spiderman games ever since Sony had the movie license back in 2000?

The game license belongs to Marvel now and it was Marvel who asked Sony to publish a new game and to do so like a first party title.

So yeah, the game does have a fairly sizeable bidget. Its Spiderman, and Spiderman is pretty much tethering on being big again with the MCU.

Why would they limit their user base to such an extent? Insomniac Games has made games for other consoles as well. Bad business move if you ask me. There's not a single advantage I can think off that requires Sony to publish the game.

His only oddball prediction is Resident Evil 7 (in 2018, it's a timed exclusive for PS4 so that fits) and it having VR support for the Switch, which wouldn't be usable if the screen was 720p, maybe just barely if it was high ppi, but there is still a chance that it has a 1080p screen (the battery drain wouldn't be that significant if content was rendered in 720p), which the PSVR also uses (albeit with 440-ish ppi and OLED).

No, its coming out for the XB1 and PC as well.

Whoops, turns out just the VR part is a timed exclusive for PSVR.
