Ok I'm inspired now. I think I need to go back and try out different comboes and weapon sets.

Agreed! Bayonetta 2 is one of the best hack and slash games in history. Yes I said history. This is coming from a guy who damn near owns all hack and slashes. I love Bayonetta 2. It's really too bad it was only exclusive to Nintendo, but glad the game even existed in the first place.

The first one had a motorcycle level and a airplane stage. Its no different from the first one.

I rate them about the same.

There's some refinements to the combat in the second that I miss when playing the first.
I enjoyed the over the top plots of both but I'd give the plot of the first the edge.
The setting and visuals are better in the second, but the first had the most impressive finale.
The little girl was ok but the little boy was a bit annoying.

The W101 is better than both. Better, more dynamic, combat, a better plot and characters, better ... well perhaps not better visuals, but a better little boy.

After the first one, I have no interest in the series.  They took good game-play mechanics then wedged it into a game with terrible direction and a story written by a random 8th grade boy.

Which honestly kind of sums up Platinum.

I still have to finish the first on WiiU, and all those awful cutscenes are annoying me.
And you say it's worst with the second game? damn.

Maybe juuuust maybe Micro$oft shouldn't change games in the middle of the development cycle.

It started as a single player game and then suddenly it turned into an open world 4 player coop.

 

Of course Platinum missed deadlines, they got scammed by MS.
