2 out of 3 of those aren't comparable but the one that was, was moderated for it. Just my take.

Aren't comparable? Slimebeast is praising Hitler, and Fatslob is obviously calling people other species, and it's obvious because he thinks that they're inferior and thus can't be considered the same species as him.

Like Cosmic, Slimebeast was moderated for bigoted posts. As for those other ones, as several mods have already stated—if we don't see it, and it's not reported, we can't take a look at/deal with it. 

People need to get better at bringing these things to our attention. Bigoted/Racist posts are moderated more harshly, but if we don't see it, we can't act.

Well, then shouldn't the solution be having more mods so that they actively participate in the forums and see the posts? I think if it's at the point where if it's not reported then a mod doesn't see it, that there needs to be more mods so that all of the posts are generally seen/read by one of them in the first place.

Okay, the species one is bad but the hitler one is not really racist. Alot of people like bad leaders.

Having more mods would be a temporary band-aid. We can't be everywhere at one time. That's just not how it works. If people don't report, we may not see it. That isn't a fault of The Mod Team. 

That said, I'll be stepping up my activity and will be particularly hard on these types of posts. People shouldn't have to feel uncomfortable with bigots running rampant.

If you had more mods though, the likelihood of one seeing it and being able to deal with it would be much higher, because it's obvious that the way it currently is most mods aren't interested in going into the political threads which leaves a lot of posts that aren't seen by the team.

Okay, the species one is bad but the hitler one is not really racist. Alot of people like bad leaders.

We had more mods in 2016 than now and these sort of posts still were missed. Sure, we can step up our patrols (and will be), but users need to play their part as well. 

I know it will never be perfect, but I don't really think that should be the goal either. Adding more mods wouldn't mean that every post will be seen/dealt with, but if it means that more are I would say that it is an improvement.

Even if there was more moderators, you can't reasonably expect any mod team, regardless of its size, to be able to go and read everything that is posted in the forums and comment sections. There will always be comments that won't get seen.

The most rational thing to do is to report comments that you feel are breaking rules and leave the rest to the moderators.

The goal is to keep the site safe and relevant for users and visitors. As a Team, I feel we're doing that. But we can step things up. We can't shoulder all of the blame, though, and even with more mods, we'd be having this discussion. Trust me.....I've already been there. Our 2016 Team was stacked and we still heard plenty of these same complaints.

It's not about the size of a team, but the efficiency with which the group performs.

But it's also been over a year since the last mod recruitments, and as a result of that there haven't been new members to freshen things up and bring new perspectives.
