While I appreciate the support for my post, I have to remind everyone here about the rules for this thread. 

You don't have a free pass to take digs at Kerotan, or any other user.

I feel sorry for him when he's trying to create discussion and gets moderated for responding to bait, yeah. I'd feel sorry for anyone in the same situation, and I've wrote similar in mod notes in the past. There's nothing inherently wrong with saying X game being on PS4 is a positive (Others actually talk about the game being on the other platforms), however if this is the hill you choose to die on, let's break it down again.

• Your own history with Chazore is well known to the mod team.
• Chazore creates a thread about how the remake for a classic PC game is being aimed primarily at PC gamers, so PC gamers shouldn't be as concerned as they were.
• Your only contribution to Chazore's thread is about how good this is for PS4, and how many PC exclusives are now on PS4.
• Chazore replies to your post, the same way anyone else would reply to your post. Nothing bad, no ill intent and easily ignored.
• You immediately jump to a moderator to get Chazore banned.

Because we know both of your personal histories, as well as your history with each other, it's relatively easy for us to judge that your post was aimed at getting the reply out of Chazore. Considering you read the OP, you knew what discussion Chazore was attempting to hold. Considering you remembered your history with Chazore, you'd know a post in such a thread gloating about the PS4 getting a PC exclusive would be challenged. Considering our own discussions, you'd know that we wouldn't tolerate any direct contact between the pair of you. You want to know what part gives you away? The immediate report. If you didn't want Chazore to reply to you, you wouldn't be gloating about your platform of choice in his PC-focussed thread.

This has nothing to do with my own professionalism as it's just a direct reply to your concerns (and other peoples) using all the tools at my disposal. If PM reports are something I have to use to highlight the problem then I'll use them.

To answer and highlight a couple of other points in your post;

• You say that other members send me reports in private messages, which is false. 
• You ask me what's wrong with saying it's great to see a game coming to PS4, while in the PM's we earlier discussed you yourself said it wasn't a good idea to post in Chazore's thread. This tells me you already know the answer to that question.
• You say your reports were ignored, which is false. We just didn't deem them to be moderation-worthy. I could give you a list of users as long as my arm who constantly report things that simply aren't worthy of moderation.

And to end this post on, I want you to look at how not one, but two people are banned from being in discussion with you (and I think 2 others were/are almost at that point). Just sit and think why. Sit and think why you're literally the only person on the forum who's had to have this rule applied to them multiple times. 

now in response to the part regarding chazore. my post in his thread was the exact same post i'd have made if anyone else had of made the same thread. whether they were a pc fan or not. (i think sometimes you guys forget i also game on pc. i'm a massive age of mythology fan). i was going to message the mods after the ban expired and tell you guys that my post was indeed genuine. but at the same time i could understand the ban and wasn't going to appeal it because from your point of view i looked guilty. So i shouldn't have posted that comment in there because chazore was the author but if anyone else made the thread i should have made that post. 

FYI being happy about something like that ain't gloating. And i'll not stand for false accusations like that. Why would you feel sorry for chazore? he's commented in some of my threads in the last few months and i was never silly enough to break the rules and quote him. He knew he wasn't allowed. Yet he still clicked that button knowing he'd be banned. Actually after just re reading what i've written, i agree with you. i feel sorry for him too. So, yes you're right, but it's not my fault and i shouldn't be punished for his shortcomings. 

Which brings me to my other point. After that last ban i was going to message you guys to appeal the bans length. The last time I was banned regarding chazore was 19th Aughust 2016. http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/post.php?id=8031336 The next time was March the 8th 2017. That is a gap of about 7 months if my math is correct. So why was I banned for 5 days? According to the progressive moderation system I should have been banned for a lot less. I felt I was given an unfair ban out of sympathy for the length of chazores bans. Which is absolotely Ludicrous. 

Context is key in every decision we make as a team. I've explained multiple times that his thread was about settling PC gamers nerves regarding the remake, so anyone (especially someone who's gaining this bad reputation as someone baiting people with unneccessary and excessive "positivity", and especially someone who has such a history with the OP) who enters the thread to gloat about how great the PS4 is will be looked at closely for trolling and/or baiting. And yes, it's gloating whether you want to admit it or not. 

Read your mod note or better yet, read your history. You weren't banned because you had contact with Chazore, you were banned for trolling. It follows progression because your last ban for trolling was for 3 days in December. Furthermore, the progressive system is only a simple guideline and we have every right to skip normal progression if deemed necessary. CGI-Quality explained it in your ban note - "You have got to stop baiting users like this. I'm not against your enthusiasm for the PS4, but it doesn't have to show in such a way that's bound to not only pick at users, but entice them to respond to it (even users who are banned from talking to you). And this isn't the only post in question. The Mod Team has taken note of this behavior and there won't be as many chances to get away with it anymore."

That's fine regarding the ban but about my intent it's wrong.  I was expressing my happiness my console was getting the game and that was it.  I have acknowledged I shouldn't have posted in there because I was going to look guilty hence why I agree with you.  

However back to my point regarding the mod bias.  Remember you Brought up the fact I reported chazore after he responding like that was my sole aim? When in reality I report it because the moderation system has continuously gone down hard on me and I want to see fairness. There was no sympathy for my positive post that attacked nobody.  like the kind of sympathy you just granted tbone for making contact with me. 

He is just back from a 7 day ban and he goes and breaks the rule he was just banned for.  If that was me it would be happy days for the mod team. High fives all round.  Yes lads we got him,  10 day ban for Kerotan.  2 claps and a Rick flair.... WOOOOOOOOO!

I've been putting up with this moderation bias for years.  Certain posters who the mods like let off. Now you see why I want them banned.  Not because I don't like tbone but because I dislike the system that has treated me unfairly time and time again.  Bravo.

I have to agree. If your only purpose is to cheerlead for a brand, then you're in the wrong forum. Nothing wrong with things like giving your impressions on an exclusive, but taking sneaky shots at other platforms or certain people for their platform preferences crosses the line.

I should put in my thoughts about this. The mod team doesn't have problems with expressing enthusiasm for a platform, but when it gets really excessive, it's cringey. And when you have a history of bad blood between certain users, it's reasonable why the mod team and normal users are suspicious. I don't think it's too much to ask to dial back on the enthusiasm, but if you think it is, you're always free to leave.

You mean bring back the mod who permabanned you?... yeah I'm all for that.
