Forums - Politics - Racist black teens torture white man live for supporting Trump

Sad, but let's not act like the other side didn't do similar things. It's always news when it happens to a white man.

Who acted like this doesnt happen to the other side? Also it has happened to someone not white and it has been news. A quick google search can prove that.

OP- That sucks a lot. Hope they people that did this get what they deserve.

breaking news, criminals committed a crime!

in other news, find out new scientific evidence that water is indeed wet. stay tuned...

Are you saying that news outlets shouldnt report on crime?

Or is it what you are really thinking is that you dont like the fact the people who dont support Trump can be bad people too?

do you have any idea how many crimes are committed every single day!? the fact they were caught and will face the law should be enough to turn this into a non news.

what the hell did I say to give you the impression that not liking trump = good person!? like... wtf!?

it just seems to me there's some fabricated outrage focusing on the skin color of the criminals and the victim and that's what's bringing this into the 'news'

seems like race baiting to me

I didnt read this article but the NBC News article I read has them saying quote "were heard yelling anti-white epithets at various points throughout the 30-minute video." Sometimes it isnt race-baiting its just actual reporting.

In fact I have vaguely heard of that event on the news and you are correct it certainly wasn't covered enough which is lamentful. I also would like to clairfy that I'm not saying that coverage for this particular incident has been sparse, I mean it was covered on the spanish-speaking news and rightfully called a hate crime of sorts. My issue is more with a significant portion of the mainstream outlets, even with on-camera evidence, refusing to call it what it is, a hate crime.

They won't call it a hate crime because the police themselves haven't even called it that, yet (and don't want to until there's a complete investigation). Most agree that it's a horrific, ugly crime regardless (which it is).

To others, the reason why you won't see as much backlash is partially because the four teens have been arrested. Lots of times, that's not the case.

MSNBC coveres it here (and they do talk about it being a hate crime): http://www.msnbc.com/craig-melvin/watch/4-held-after-apparent-torture-in-facebook-live-video-848376899977

http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/hate-crime-charges-not-ruled-out-sickening-facebook-live-torture-n703456

NBC calls it hate crime as well.

so you're focusing for some reason on them allegedly yelling racist things? is that what's so newsworthy here?

to me that's like some guy raping a woman while calling her fat and somehow the outrage going to the 'fat shaming' instead of the rape itself.

Very curious by the amount of people saying this isnt a hate crime in the US. Imagine if the roles were reversed and a disabled black man was harrassed by a group of pro-trump white men. It would be plastered all over the news for weeks. Honestly though i see stuff like this and think that the US is no better to travel to than Europe right now.

Japan holiday here i come :^)

Of course not; however, it's a key consideration in trying to understand a motive.  Why would a group of black adults (by law) kidnap a special needs person?  Hope of some ransom?  You can put two and two together by the "f*** white people!" ephitets being tossed around and the humiliation this white special needs person went through, like being forced to drink water out of a toilet.  That's a clear early indication that the evil acts perpetrated against this innoncent soul were motivated by hatred.  EDIT: Of course, officially labeling it as a "hate crime" won't come until police do a thorough investigation as others mentioned.

That's a really, really bad comparison.

you have made a common mistake, you have confused me by someone who cares what their 'motive' is. they were caught, they will go to trial and surely convicted for what they have done and society will judge them morally as the pieces of shit that they are.

lets make a news story when actually here doesn't go according to the normality (ie, them not getting sentenced by the court)

The Sun, huh? Isn't that yellow press?

If yellow press means one that will sensationalise anything and everything they can get their hands on just for clicks/paper sales, then yes they most certainly are.

Funny thing is that the police is refusing to categorise that as a hate crime. And good luck getting the mainstream media to cover this.

Alright, here's a MSM link... https://t.co/26ENk3sNxA There, you happy now?

A hate crime to be more precise. I expect Obama to make a statement about this soon. He's done it multiple times before.

Ahahahahahahaha... really?

Oh Barry...

It's funny how that bbc article refuses to say that they are black. It only 1 of them being African American. Thank you for proving my point.
