I think most hype for it died the instant it wasn't exclusive anymore. And that's a shame. I look forward to the Xbox One version now.

The hype fizzled out long before that. It looked very good and mysterious at Gamescon 2013

Then nothing for a year and not much more to show at Gamescon 2014, followed by more nothing in 2015, then the breakup with Sony in March 2016 for lack of game, then it re-appeared last December, and is now suddenly set for release in May on multiple platforms. Very odd development history.
I'm hoping it will be good and more than a 2 hour experience activating the next sequence. Just how can it go from getting dropped for lack of progress on 1 platform in 4 years, to being complete for mulitple platforms in less than another year?

It looks like a lovely world to explore, so still cautiously optimistic.

The game reminds me a lot to a mix between Ico and The Witness, I do fear is gonna be very short but is looking fine.

If the puzzles are on par with The Witness then I'm in. But nothing indicates any type of interesting puzzle.

I don´t know... With all the bad news about no ports for Switch, I am getting WiiU flashbacks all over again like Tim Robbins in JACOB´S LADDER =(

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

That (the lack of game) was just a rumour. It seems that they have a game now, so it wasn't vaporware.

When this game was announced I was completely hyped for it. Now I do not really care anymore. Probably going to end in a disappointment. What a shame considering how awesome the first trailer was.

Sony Exlusive = Hype
Multiplatform= Meh

Good to know.

If you look at it this trailer is actually better than the first one.

No the first trailer was better.
I lost interest in this game when Sony dropped it because after 2 years of work they still didn't had any gameplay footage to show.

I hope it can live up to what people wanted. The whole situation with Sony seems like Sony (like us) saw the trailer and pitch and thought, this looks great, we'll help fund development. When seeing no return in years, they gave up on it and TW bought it back from them. A year later it releases. Which means they have been working on it for about 5 years (based on the idea they claim the original trailers were based on gameplay and they finished their last game in 2012).

Eitherway, not for me but good for those that want it and TW and the game in general.

Hmm, pie.

Again, that's just a rumour.

I have no idea if this game is good or not, maybe Sony dropped their support because they didn't like the game, maybe because they thought that the delay was excessive or because actually the developers wanted to re-bought the rights for any reason and they reached an agreement. We don't know, but everybody seems to give as true something that somebody told on the Internet without any kind of proof (as long as I know, if I'm wrong please correct me), and whose main points (that there's really no game) seem to be debunked by the fact that the game is releasing in 5 months. Why?

Not that I have any interest in this game, but I find all this bashing based on rumours a bit frightening.

Nowadays any random on the internet is reliable and people truly believes every rumour even when you say to them this is just a rumour, it is scary yes.

It's all speculation at this point and I really hope it turns out allright. Yet it's hard not to see several red flags. There hasn't been much gameplay shown, no hands on, just a few trailers of mainly the same content.

It could be that there's a whole intricate never before seen world ready for release with great gameplay ideas and the developers wanted to buy the rights back because they think they have a real winner. It could also be that Sony lost patience and what they saw wasn't worth extending their funding, which lit a fire under TW to find a new publisher, wrap up what they have as best as possible and launch it on multiple platforms to recoup costs while the game is still in the public mindshare. Or the truth could be somewhere in the middle.

It's now published by Gearbox and Six foot. Interestingly Phil Spencer regretted not picking up Rime before, and hasn't attempted to get it after TW broke off with Sony. Perhaps TW expects most of it as a launch title for the Switch. Anyway, one to check reviews for first.
