She has real sources and has been really open about them and about how she sources stuff. That's why she hsan't run an article on this, because she has conflicting info. She was a known game journalist, well before she started to leak switch stuff and seems to have a good relationship with ubisoft sources in particuar.

Everything she leaked, aside from a single leak where she messed up and didn't back a new source up before running the story was accurate. There's no reason to believe she's 'playing both sides'.

Or she's adjusting her beliefs based on newer, more relevant information that has become available. What's wrong with doing that?
