I know you didn't, I was just being sarcastic about your point, because unfortunatelly there is too many that think close to those lines and that Wii, WiiU and Switch didn't or won't get a port only because devs hate Nintendo for unjustified reasons.

They wouldn't change their minds no matter what you tell them because they think developers hate Nintendo just because they do even with the reasons that everyone else see.

Why did developers make Wii, DS or 3DS exclusives?

Those platforms sold well and still didn't get many good third party exclusives.

Why would developers make exclusives for any console?

Yes why would they.

Totally agree

Couldn't help but notice that you re-agreed with yourself lol

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

And you somehow know Switch wont sell well?

Besides thats an incredibly innacurate statement. Those 3 platforms each recieved a ton of quality exclusives.

Good exclusives from third party developers? I don't remember many. Most of them were console ports with less content and lower graphics and a different name.

If you're talking about niche Japanese games I probably don't know about them and I don't think that's what KLVER wanted when he was talking about third party exclusives.

I'm skeptical. I'll play devil's advocate...

Has this particular developer worked directly on the Nintendo Switch? Or is he just working from the rumored/leaked specs? Has he gotten hands on with middleware/APIs provided by nVidia for Switch?

I figure the answers to be...
No. Yes. No.

I can't speak for DS and 3DS, perhaps someone more familiar with their libraries can do so, but I thought Wii had plenty of good third party exclusives; Monster Hunter Tri, The Last Story, de Blob, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, the Goldeneye reboot... (Yeah, it was ported later, but it was originally exclusive)

Yes, good exclusives from 3rd parties, Nintendo has gotten a shitload in the last 10 or so years.

How many of those exclusives would you consider "system sellers"? That is, games where their presence (or lack thereof) on a platform will sway someone's decision on whether or not they will buy that console. For example - I know many people that won't buy a console that doesn't have Grand Theft Auto or Madden on that platform.

Off the top of my head, a lot of Japanese bought a Wii for Monster Hunter Tri.

Not sure, probably a small percentage but then again only a small percentage of games in general can be considered system sellers.

Regardless, whether or not they were system sellers is irrelevant to the original question.
