I don't think so. You can only shoot in the direction you're facing. But if it's your favorite, I'm still interested in knowing what it is you loved the most about it.
Dead Nation has gotten a lot of mentions here. I just watched a Let's Play of the first level. Kinda looks like helldivers in that the characters and enemies are slow relative to bullet hell games like Geometry Wars and Enter The Gungeon. The weapons are also more realistic. I think I'm leaning more to the more cartoony, faster paced shooters so far, based on the Let's Plays I've watched.

Isnt that true for Geometry Wars as well? I mean you cant shoot out of your back.
Its just fun to play and see how the power ups stack.

Ok, I haven't played Geometry Wars. As I said in the OP, it's Let's Play videos that have piqued my interest in the genre. But based on the videos, at least it looks like you can aim in any angle you want. Binding of Isaac literally has just 4 possible directions you can shoot in. Thanks
