I know you are just 16, but the vast majority of the gaming community will not know nor care about the terms you are using when it comes to the method of holding the controller/mouse you would have to expand for the vast number of people to reply with a "I hold the controller/mouse how I hold it"

When I hear people talking about changing the way they naturally hold a control device for games to emulate the way someone else on youtube/streams does it really makes me feel like old Barney here.

Play how you feel most comfortable (as long as you are holding the controls!)

...I thought he meant masturbation until I saw the next post.

Jesus, when you hear Claws you think masterbate :o Kinky stuff!

But yeah some people came up with names for the various ways they hold a controller or mouse as to if you are arching your fingers to have the tips of them on the buttons or if you just press the buttons (shoulder or mouse with the middle point of your finger) the main issue I have when it comes to being discussed is that much like the OP here, people talk about them as though it's a terminology which everyone knows and discusses rather than first explaining what they're on about. I had a RL mate about 3 mins into a convo about them at me (not with me) before I got to stop him and say "wtf are you talking about" he showed me, I laughed, good times had by all.

Took me a while to figure out what the OP meant with "claw" but now that I get it no I don't do it.

Excuse me, but what? I'm familiar with the claw grip and the palm grip when talking about mice, but I have no idea what 'claw or naw' means, especially in regard to controllers.

And, uh, to sort of answer your question in regard to mice, my grip is closer to the claw grip right now, although I suspect it's not really a pure claw grip either. I think the palm grip could be better for me, but I also think that my mouse isn't ideal for that.

Well, i do share a community with the likes of badgenome after all I have come to expect these threads.

...and I agree with you on the later part of your post. it's very specific terminlogy, hence the poll.

"naw" has to mean "no", if logic still exists in this world.

I get that this has to do with the way you hold the controller, but I don't know what Claw or Naw mean.

I think he means when you allow your nest of rats to use the second controller for 2 player games do you encourage them to gnaw at the buttons to control it or would you rather if they claw at the buttons to more simulate if you were playing with another human.

I've seen people that do and always kind of did a double-take or a head tilt as I've never held a controller like that before. It seems so uncomfortable to me, but as long as it works for them then all is well

I'm too used to keyboards and hot keys so I just switch from face buttons and stick all the time, so I'm lazy to learn a new way .

That sounds logical.  So that comes down to a question of whether rats are faster with their teeth or with their claws.

And also if you prefer to win or lose to non humans, I mean I often find myself herding the faster rats towards the analogue sticks so that they'll move around quickly, but I'll encourage the slower and dying rats towards the buttons or else use poisoned food on those so that they don't attack as often as they move, it makes a far more fun hunt which I only lose sometimes to... but then I convince myself that the rats had a handicap set pre match....

Soon I'll die... and they'll eat me... then they'll know how my sorrow tastes.
