When Wii U launched I had no idea it existed. I didn't find out it even existed until after the X1/PS4 reveals.

I would say 2014 through the end of 2015 were the brightest years.

WiiU was pretty impressive up to 2016: Super Mario 3D World, Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, XCX, Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, Freedom Planet, Runbow, New Super Mario Bros. U, etc. Only in 2016 did the console really start to under-deliver relative to the competition.

I loved the Wii U, even up to this day. I still have game that I've been meaning to play.

WiiU first year was very week, it started to get better around the end of 2013, 2014 was amazing though.

I thought the same exact thing, rumors I heard at the time stated it was pretty powerful, it was getting the big 3rd party support at launch with promise of DLC, etc and being the same game that the other systems got. I have bought over 40 retail Wii U as of now, not even through half of them.

I still have fun with my Wii U, just won't be getting more games for it, asides from Zelda
