WiiU was pretty impressive up to 2016: Super Mario 3D World, Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, XCX, Splatoon, Mario Kart 8, Freedom Planet, Runbow, New Super Mario Bros. U, etc. Only in 2016 did the console really start to under-deliver relative to the competition.
