Are you not?

See that's the common misconception here. I don't hate Nintendo. I just hate most people that like Nintendo as if their life depends on it.

That will make your life depend on hating those whose life depend on Nintendo.

they have a console coming out, what do you expect?

Sony just had PS4 Slim, PS4 Pro and PSVR hardware launches too.

... and MS the Xbox One S.

WiiU did not impact Nintendo's search as well as all of the combined info Nintendo has floating around right now. Its a culmination of all the buzz surrounding Nintendo which includes NS.

Primordia alone from XenobladeX already took care of your last point. Don't need to mention all the other games.

Mobile is such a huge market that it can be hard to wrap around the huge numbers and potential. Especially when you compare the 40 million downloads for SMR.

Pokemon Go and Super Mario Run are really pushing their IP hard.

I think it was a combination of everything. NES classic, Pokemon Go, Nintendo + Apple partnership, theme parks, Switch... They did right in the marketing department these last months, and brand awareness spiked, obviously. Let's see if Nintendo keeps this momentum in January. That presentation will be really important for the Switch's sucess.

I fully agree. There is a lot of noise in regards to Nintendo, which is obviously what they need right now. Their presentation should really be something. I look forward to it.

I'm excited for the Switch, but let's not pretend that VR isn't more exciting than playing console games on your lap.

Just like are you pretending to ignore the current niche appeal of 1st gen VR , I guess.

I'm not. I've been incredibly vocal about criticizing VR. But conceptually, it's far more compelling.

People are lazy... they don't search for "playstation" or "play station" when typing in "ps4" is much faster:
