 "is worth stressing with a firm emphasis that everything we have heard so far points to Tegra X1 as the SoC of choice for Nintendo NX, and Tegra X2 may simply be a derivative version of X1 with Denver CPU cores, designed for Nvidia's burgeoning automotive line - we literally know very little about it. However, perhaps another factor to consider is launch timing. NX launches in March 2017, almost two years after Shield Android TV with Tegra X1 launched in May 2015. The timing may suggest that Nintendo is waiting for mass production to become available on a more cutting edge part. If the older Tegra X1 is indeed the core component, availability there would not be a problem, suggesting a delay elsewhere in the pipeline. Alternatively, it may simply be the case that Nintendo is holding fire until a compelling array of launch software is ready."

That's speculation on behalf of the author. That was never a claimed rumor. The rumor by Emily was that it was delayed to have more games ready in its first year to avoid droughts.

Didn't the president of Nintendo say something like that sometime ago as well? Just wondering.

Seems that they are giving much credit for that venturebeat rumor that was proven false...

Which one was that?

Sounds more believable than something like XB1 level performance. Hopefully it will get some great exclusive third party games though since multiplatform games are out the window.

Vita = 20 GF? I've seen numbers around 50 - 56 GF for it.

Yes, Vita is 51.2Gflops. not 20.

Good catch.

Umm... According to neogaf...

FP32:

WiiU=176
Switch docked=393
Switch undocked=157
Vita=20
3DS=lol
XboxOne=1300

So no... It really isn't. Stop spreading nonsense please. Portable mode = wiiU, docked mode = 1/3 x1

Well that site also says the wiiU is running at 352 which doesn't sound right and neogaf said it was 176 after all their fact checking and etc. Also no one exactly disputed him right?

Werent most rumors saying it was 2-3 times as powerful as Wii U and isnt this pretty much saing it is 2-3 times as powerful as Wii U?

I dont understand the sudden outrage when it is essentially what we have been hearing all along.

I think most were saying on par with Xbone. But there were people like myself trying to calm people down.

There has literally been zero reason to believe Switch was on par with XBO based on the previous leaks.

When the herd loses its way, the shepard must kill the bull that leads them astray.

Is this bad news? Wouldn't this mean better battery life and a lower price point, closer to $199? It's not like Nintendo needs the extra power to make great games.

If you're looking for "AAA" games and glossy graphics, why care about Switch in the first place?

Honestly, I think it's much more important for Nintendo to sell a cheap system with a lot of accessible games than it is to sell a powerful system and try to recruit big-name third parties. So this makes sense to me.

The hardcore gamers will balk, but who cares. I doubt they were interested to begin with. Reminds me of one of the comments in the NES Classic thread: "I wasn't planning on getting one but this would be enough to put me off doing so."

Yea, I am hoping now more than ever that the battery is at least 5 hours. If it's 3 hours, I think they will have some issues.

And I love my 3ds too... Until my sister broke it T_T

Yeah, we had this rumour about the battery life a few days ago. Maybe this clock is the solution they've found. I'm OK with that.

I'm sorry to hear about your 3DS. May it rest in peace.

Thanks! Still can't wait to buy the Switch tho! That shit looks fantastic.
