Forums - Sony - Finally got myself a PSP, now would like a good list of games to get.

I bought Final Fantasy Crisis Core, what I'm really looking for right now is a fun multiplayer game, or just plain fun in short bursts as I'm always on the go and thats why I love my DS, so I'm wondering if anyone knows some good games like that.  I hate God of War, I tried it, just don't like it... I'm looking for Metal Gear PO but was wondering whats the difference in the original and plus, a few of my friends didn't like it but I really want Metal Gear on the go =\.  Anyone got a good list?

PATAPON!!!! Do EET NOW!

Final Fantasy Tactics is always fun and the battles are great for short bursts.

Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops is fantastic ^^

A Gran Theft Auto game is always good in a pinch.

Worms, pretty much any iteration of it is great with multi-player.

Wipeout (whichever the ones on PSP ) support multi-player I believe, and they're usually great games :)

I can name you dozens of other great games, but I'm not much of a multi-player gamer when it comes to handhelds xD so I can't help you out much.

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

WipEout Pulse is a great game to get, and has an online mode integrated with PSN
Killzone Liberation is a great, but hard and time consuming game, but it one IGN's award for "offline gameplay" (ad-hoc as opposed to infrastructure)
Pursuit Force Extreme Justice is also great fun in small chunks, but does have some poor sections (on foot stuff)
syphon filter logans shadow is another great game, though that is once again quite time consuming

I forgot to mention I hate GTA, and I played FF: Tactics on GBA, not really my thing =\ I'm thinking about Patapon but it'll have to be try before I buy thing.

They don't all have to be short burst games, but I would like something fun with multiplayer, I heard MGS:PO plus has online multiplayer, and was wondering if it was any fun, I also heard it didn't have all the stuff the original had so its kinda mixed on which one I want.

LocoRoco is good fun, as it Patapon, GOW: COO and a few others that escape me at the moment :D

Patapon is a great game for a great price $20.

Then well, it can be a a variety of things you could get.

Ratchet and Clank : Size Matters
Jak (if you didn't buy the bundle)

If you like Baseball you have MLB 08 The Show. Let's you save in the middle of a game (yeah... it's about time they added that in my BB games) so it is perfect for on the go Sports gaming if your into that. It has infrastructure Online too which is quite busy I must admit. Supposedly it also has leader boards, chat rooms, etc... and you share the community with the PS2 gamers as well as the PSP gamers, not sure about when playing though. Still great portable Online Sports. :)

Good pickup on Crisis Core, I get my self lost in Missions though before advancing in the story, which is pretty good so far in my short 7 hours into it. I think I will have to go play this some more right now since you mentioned it.

Death Jr. isn't bad either. You could grab both for probably $18-20 total.

Portable Ops Plus is pretty much Portable Ops with more Maps, more Missions, etc...

So does MGS: plus have all the story and such as the Portable Ops does?

I love Crisis Core, I play missions all day long and they're good going for short bursts, you can beat a mission ins a few minutes no problem. The one downfall is because it's clearly supposed to be a faster pace then your normal RPG you lose some of the RPG strategy and exploration, but Midgar in 3D looks great regardless.

I am pretty sure it is just additional content added to the Original Portable Ops. Here is the Gamestop description and from what it says, it seems to be the same story and such.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus is a standalone addition to last year’s award winning stealth action title of the same name. Focusing on a portable multiplayer experience, players will be able to enjoy more maps, more missions, and recruit a talented crew of war heroes for battling real opponents in online arenas.

Now to Crisis Core.

I thought the battle style was strange at first but it actually fits great for what is supposed to be a "portable" game. Easy to explore areas and quick combat. Instead of something where you need to have at least 30mins-1hour of spare time if you even want to think about starting to play it. Which is why God of War is actually not what I consider portable, well... the game and the console is, but it requires tons of time invested on each level, not really what I would call "on the go gaming", although I love the series because of my interest in almost eveything Ancient Greece.

My job would kill me if I spent an extra 20mins on the bowl so I can complete my level.
