300 Million sales at $10. It's on track.

Where is this number coming from?

And no, it's not.

Sorry I don't keep up to date on these things. It's been revised to 150 million sales now.

$1.5 Billion in revenue is still fantastic though.

Dropped down to 9th place now, guess the hype was only temporary.

NSMB was 72 levels and 50 dollars. That's about .69 cents a level. This is 24 levels for 10 dollars which would come out to about .41 cents a level.

Yea but this is also on mobile where there are tons of other platformers that are also equally enjoyable if not more so which costs less while giving more levels. The game almost plays by itself apart from jumping.

Come on Yuri, buy that iPhone. You know you want to. Get the 6s Plus

As for the game "playing itself apart from jumping", that's not an entirely accurate way to describe it. Each level can be played in 4 different ways:

1. Clear the level from start to finish if you are a noob.

2. Collect the 5 pink coins in a single run. If you do it successfully, you will be able to play again but this time to:

3. Collect the 5 purple coins in a single run, located in different and trickier locations. Do it successfully and move on to play the level one last time to:

4. Collect the green coins in a single run, and by now you know the drill, they are much harder to get.

And since you can't go back, collecting any of the above in a single run is not tension-free and it's definitely not easy. There are Toad rallies as well but I am bored of repeating myself, I should've made a clean OP, put everything in a single post and spammed everyone with it

Eventually, it will get there, but we are talking years & years after release.

It's true that a lot of money is spent on mobile games but most of these games play on different chords. They collect money from players differently, and they bring players back the way successful MMOs on PC do.

This Mario is just different. People shouldn't expect PoGo-level of craze... and that's not a problem. Nintendo is experimenting afterall.

That's awesome.
The asian market might make it go even higher.

It's not available on the Chinese App store for some reason.  The country with the biggest iOS userbase... yes, bigger than the US.

Wow... surprised china buy Apple Products... thought Android handsets such as Xiaomi's would completely stomp the high priced Apple Devices over there.

Those are popular of course, and they are doing better than Apple. The population is massive that having a small market share is enough to bring in billions in revenues. Apple is China's bitch though, recently they closed the iBook and iTunes Movie store for no good reason, and just like that, they closed 2 sources of revenues. What happens if they decide to shut down, throttle or restrict the App store as well? Release Mario there before that happens, Nintendo!

I don't think i knew that, to be honest. I just read a comment on twitter that because of time zones, asian countries wouldn't be "awake" to download the game.
Back to your point, if the userbase really is that big, than the game really needs to be released there!

Number 7 in the charts for the full game or the free demo?
