The n3dsxl was same price. It was just a n3ds that was sold at a cheaper price. Also i think the 200k+ more than makes up for revune |
Yeah, but the 3DS is cheaper than the XBO and PS4.

Well, I hope that the Slim does much better than the Pro so that the mid-gen refresh thing will die off.

This...
This what Nintendo released this holidays for 99$ in limited amounts! That's what it had its price slashed but wasn't on the shelves on last holidays...
Nintendo has been only releasing this in special editions since september '15, which are being sold out soon and aren't being restocked...
jason1637 said: Doing the math using WC numbers and 556k for 3ds i got about 600million generated in revenue. The article says 723 million for revenue. Also my math isnt very accurate because i used $250 for PS4 and XB1 while PS4 Pro sold for $400 and some xbox bundles were $300 or $350. Also 3ds was $150-200 during the start of the month. I still think they are down considering i got such a close number without taking into account higher priced skus. |
I think the 1.1 and 1m numbers could be looking right, With the 3DS mainly selling $150-$200 and the Pro pre-orders at $400 along with the 1TB X1 bundles been $299 ($349 up to Black Friday), Also the 500 GB PS4/X1 been $299 until 24th November.
2.1m PS4/X1 at $250 = 525m
550k 3DS at $150 would be 82m
150k Wii U at $249 = 37m
=644m
+ Add in Pro and higher priced hardware to get to closer to the $723m revenue numbers.
-----
Quick calculation based on if the average hardware price was $249 across the month that would give us 2.89m
1.1m PS4
1m X1
550k 3DS
=2.65m
+150k Wii U???
=2.8m
+ give or take round ups
It's late and my math may be wrong but just some quick numbers I threw together before I go to sleep and I don't claim them to be correct or anything.
So does this now mean the 1.1 m vs 1m rumor has a little more credibility? In which case both would be down on hardware?? yeh/no??

Couldnt remember if it was at $249 or $299 :D That would add in an extra 8m to the Wii U section/total.
