Anyone can change the data, which means they can also link incorrect info. Could this be the time they got it right? Certainly. Doesn't mean that people should take their word as gospel from now on.

I never claimed it as gospal. I said my count and I did not say it was official. However, I doubt very highly any of the titles on that list sold less than a million except the last two (maybe... because it says shipped not sold), but with 92 sources on 66 titles and this site having almost every single title as a million seller plus as a cross reference (which I also do not use on its own as gospal), I think it is safe to use it as a measure. Even if you think some of them did not sell a million, how many do you legitimately think you could argue? 30? That sounds ludicrious.

Again, by my count. I did not claim it to be official, but I think it is safe enough to use it as a source when someone asks for my source to back my count.

If you want to make a thread counting 1m+ selling Wii games, I'm all for that. Just be sure to include an average Metacritic, because I'm really interested in seeing what the average quality of a successful Wii game is.

1m+ Wii games published by Nintendo comes out at 40/157 on VGC.

The Wii's top 10 exclusives average out at 28.4m each.

Nov 2016 - NES outsells PS1 (JP)

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

At 35.5m units sold, Mario Kart Wii alone outsold every game on this PS4 list combined... That's crazy!

Same with New Super Mario Bros. Wii at 28.31m! Unreal!

I didn't realize that the Wii's software sold as well as it did.

So if you count R&C (remake) and LBP3 (PS3+PS4), you must count TLoU as well. Isn't it? Or remove R&C.
Possibly MLB The Show 15 and 16 both are over 1M retail+digital.

R&C was more reboot than remake.  I agree that LBP3 shouldn't be there though if it is a PS4 exclusive list.

The major movers for the Wii moved huge units.  The issue is that there were a ton of bottom feeding shovelware style games that detracted from the attention on the heavy hitters.

R&C is not a remaster in any way shape or form and only came out on PS4. It's not even a remake as there are plot elements that changed, it's a soft reboot that uses completely new assets.

Calling Ratchet and Clank a port/remaster is like calling Tomb Raider 2013 or DMC a port/remaster. It's the same in name, only.

With this criteria XB1 would have 8 with about 18.7 total which is around 2.3 per game. It's really not as impressive for Sony considering that many of Microsoft exclusives are on PC and the PS4 has a way larger base.

Ugh...Somebody should take that metacritic average and cram it with walnuts. I need a drink and a shower.....

What 8 are those?

Halo 5: 4.36m

Halo MCC: 3.21m

Gears Ultimate Edition: 2.14m

Forza Motorsport 5: 2.2m

Forza Motorsport 6: 1.77m

Dead Rising 3: 1.57m

Forza Horizon 2: 1.39m

Sunset Overdrive: 1.13

Its actually 17.75 not 18.7. That's an average of 2.21 per game.

Only 3 of those 8 have sold  2.2 million or more.
