until it can't run most 3rd party games

Well, so far everything has good vibes. Maybe not the best third party support, but probably better than wii u and wii... and mario since day 1. As a fan you can be doubtful, but you should wait until jan 12, that conference will kill or reinvigorate your love for Nintendo.

Nah it won't kill my love for Nintendo. It just will make me not buy a Switch. Not that I am anyway I'm not a fan of the tablet. But if they ever put it in a box then I'll be interested. Right now Switch would have to knock my socks off. Then I might build a box myself.

"The most portable home console on the planet launches on March __th 2017"

Only thing, it ended up being a losing strategy as N64 sales were fairly terrible compared to Playstation.

Also, the ad is a bit kiddy.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

One third the power, of that PS4 from 2013.....

I think alot of people will see it like that, which is why its price sensitive.

It needs to be able to be sold to gamers as "the" 2nd console to own, after a PS4 or XB1.

Rumors are saying 199/249$ for the switch, so hopefully Nintendo does a kick-ass job with games for it, and it ends up a success.

PS1, PS2, Wii, GameBoy, DS, 3DS. Outsold the competition despite the competition's greater power.

Well nobody is comparing anything to the playstation, since everybody knows the story. This thread is about how different their approach was back then. Also, I don't see anything kiddy, it's the typical "shots fired" ad that playstation and xbox use these days. I mean, there was an 80's type commercial for the pro, very corny, but the message was the same.

Yet they're gangster ways could never put them on par with Sony consoles...wasn't until they left power completely behind and a made non gamers centric console in the Wii...then they slightly passed a Sonys console in sales. Now it's business as usual again.
Im always surprised by how much Sony consoles tend to outsell Nintendo....the company that screwed them lol

Yeah, since then there's a constant war between sony fans and nintendo fans because that's how it is. Even when I like playstation, I really enjoyed when xbox 360 was the best console on the market and playstation fanboys were morally corrupted.

yeah, but the difference is that those platforms were able to run games, not as good, but they played them, wii/wii u missied on almost 98% of the great games on ps3/360 because they couldn't even run them, and it will be the same with switch, you will NEVER see red dead redemption 2 on switch, you will NEVER see mass effect andromeda on switch, etc.
