Tomorrow GFK will release the new Videogame chart from UK, and there is do doubt they will tell us how much Pokémon Sun and Moon sold compared to the old Pokémon games, aka XY and ORAS.

Pretty simple, predict first week sales for Sun and Moon. "But Tolu, how much did Pokémon XY and ORAS first week!?"

Pokémon X/Y - 124k
Pokémon ORAS - 145k

Numbers are out in about 10 hours.

My prediction: 350k (+141% compared to ORAS)

It's confirmed Pokémon SUMO got more pre orders than Battlefield 1 in UK, and this in October (when BF1 was only one week before launch)

Dont get me wrong, im hoping for alot but 350k in UK fw? O.o If that were truw or close i cant imagine how much the games will do in the west.

 

Edit: im changing my prediction to 245k. I forgot spain will probably have over 150k fw. No way uk loses

And why should be less than 260k? Because this is what battlefield 1 sold at launch, and Pokémon pre orders were higher in october, even if Battlefield 1 was out in only one week.

No to mention lots of people who buy Pokémon are kids who don't even pre orders games...

Damn, if those UK pre order numbers are true then that's amazing. With that in mind I think we can say that it'll do 250k+ numbers, 300k being optimistic. Though even if pre order numbers are higher than BF1, I can't help but be cautious.
