it will most likely play WAY more games then the switch and will play them better, especially scince you can tweak with settings like you want and dont have to take what the developer will decide to be the best. But have fun with the switch.

Its 300 right now. The switch wont do much better, most likely even worse. But if thats okay for you because it has a nintendo brand thats fine.

because its 299 and alot more comfortable to use on the go then your laptop. It also offers 5hrs battery life which your laptop most likely doesnt.

Also most people dont have a capable gaming laptop anyway, so there is not the question. if you already have a gaming laptop that can play all games, the only advantages the switchs offers are nintendo games. And nintendo games arent that popular now a days and for the most time low budget in comparison to the competitions aaa titles.

 

If you have laptop thats capable of aaa gaming the switch wont do more for you then the wii u did.

Putting the Switch aside, it is infinitely better than a laptop because of the smaller size.

I already repeated that many times. In terms of mass market the switch has nothing the wii u hadnt but (maybe) third party games and portability.

The Nintendo games arnt selling many consoles now a days. IPs like GTA, Elder scrolls, Mass effect, Witcher, Battlefront, Doom, Fifa, Battlefield, Call of Duty, RDR, Warcraft  > Zelda, Mario, Pokemon for mass market. 

So there is a system with the same key functions as the switch, but that plays more popular IPs. Easy Winner. Nintendo fans might prefer the switch, but they also prefered the Wii U.

 

Also the "you can already play on pc" argument is invalid. Mass Market is not going to get 2 dedicated gaming devises. They choose one, wether its a new pc, a new pc handheld, a new ps4, a new xbox one or a switch. And if you just have one gaming device, the smach is without any doubt the overall cheaper system with more popular aaa games.

The Nintendo fans will still get the switch like they got the wii u (most likely even as a 2ndary device). But mass market will pass.

 

Better marketing and branding might be so only thing that can keep the switch alive at this time.

There is so much wrong with this post.......Nintendo IP arent selling many consoles these days? Im pretty sure they have sold about 75 million this generation.

Anybody who thinks Smach Z is going to sell 1/50th of the Switch is seriously clueless.

Those games are alot more appealing for the mature audience. And the switch seems to be aimed at a mature audience (not saying nintendo games are for kids, but those cartoony games do probl appeal more to them and the cheap 3ds/2ds is more affordable for them as well).

Also: 15 years ago, games like zelda were almost without competition. Now a days we have third party games like Witcher 3, FF15, Kingdom Hearts 3. Im not saying those games are the same, but in terms of open world, gameplay/fighting, exploration those games are similr if not even better then new zelda games. BOTW looks very promising, but nintendo is definitly not the leader in those games anymore (and they were that back in the days).
