I'm not a huge fan of Mario Sunshine, but I wouldn't mind playing a remake that looks like that.

That doesn't look good imo. Mario games are cartoony. Making them look more realistic just doesn't work for me.

If they spent more time on some of the textures, of not just mario but the rest of the world.... this would be insane.
Nintendo need to hire some of these guys that do these "works", of translateing mario into modern times.

That wont make blue coins anymore bearable. That post card will still be a slap in the face. Those water is lava stages will still blow. If you didnt like it then you wont now.

Plus, that looks really bland and ugly.

Itd be interesting if Guerrilla Games or the studio behind GeOW make some Mario Game... The turtles squished to death by Mario stomping on them, with guts and blood everywhere. Or Mario being obliterated by the cannon bullets... I would buy such a game first day just to see how real it can get.

If Nintendo were to remake SMS I think they would try to fix some of the crappy aspects of the game. They did that with Wind Waker.

I dunno, the game looks awkward, from the coloring to the lighting to the water effects. Perhaps this could work in the unreal engine, but this just looks odd to me.

I always thought sunshine was gorgeous... the look, music, and colors worked so well that I could almost feel the sun lol, wanted to vacation there.

Not bad, but the animation seems kind of jerky.
