Not to mention, that after Lego Zelda or Mario Lego, we would most likely had Zelda and Mario Lego toys, that definitely sounds like new Nintendo would do. |
Is that an argument for this or...?

Just one more argument why Nintendo should/could want Lego Zelda or Lego Mario game.

Im sure they can do that without a game. Mario and Zelda are kinda a big deal already.

A Lego Mario or Zelda game could be a good stepping stone for Nintendo properties to make appearances on other consoles.
I doubt it would happen like that. But, it's a cool idea.

That would make more sense at least. Try to reach people on other platforms.

It would be much more beneficial to Nintendo than TT (that`s who does the Lego games, right?) so they`d have to pay them to develop them as exclusives which would be costly as they`d likely sell a fair bit less than a multiplat Lego game based on a big movie franchise, but they`d most likely have to pay the Lego company (probably not their actual name) too. If they were to happen... not sure I`d even be interested to be honest. One of the big draws of the Lego games is being able to play through a well known and liked story with Legos, Nintendo don`t really have any games with a story that`s known or liked enough for me personally. |
you have it by far backwards, Lego WOULD reallyyyy want to do this. Its Nintendo who won't.
Lego does not really have much of any of their own IPs, they PAY companies to license out the use of certain characters/brands. There is no circumstance where Nintendo would be paying to have their characters in a LEGO game, it would be vice versa.
and its simple why Nintendo hasn't done it- there's a million things they can do with their characters. They don't NEED to make a Lego Mario game. I imagine they would be concerned that something like that might detract from their main series anyway.
think about it: why would Nintendo allow a third party to use their IPs and potential take a portion of their 1st party game sales away? there are plenty of kids who might play a Mario or Zelda LEGO game rather than a harder mainline version.
Nintendo is very protective of their IPs. ask yourself this- if there are not even any like Nintendo character based films or TV shows or whatever- why on Earth would you already expect them to resort to giving away their IPs for anyone else to use? even a third party LEGO game exclusive to their system. It just doesn't benefit them much

have you seen LEGO games? like LEGO Star Wars? they're literally just like the regular IP except with ... Legos. It would be dangerous to release, say, a Lego or Zelda/Mario. If someone gets their IP fix from a Lego game they're not always necessarily going to bother getting the regular version. I disagree with the argument that a Lego Nintendo game helps them whatsoever

Gameplay is completely different in Lego games.
Anyway, like I said, I doubt it would happen. The reason you mentioned makes it unlikely, then there are a bunch more reasons to add to the "ain't gonna happen cuz..." list.
Warner/TT Games already has a system set up. Make the same game for a decade. Port each one to 19 platforms. $$$$. Why would they make one that would cost as much to produce, almost certainly be a 1 platform game, sell much less as a result, AND eat into the sales of the Switch version of whatever's next for the multi-plat treatment? Say...Lego Django Unchained? I'd buy that!

I'm surprised as well! I always thought a Lego Nintendo game would do wonders. I'm not trying to be off topic, but i'm also surprised theres no Final Fantasy lego game :P
