If it was such a great deal for either of them it would have continued. They are trying the same thing with Crash Bandicoot now.

I just dont see a reason to make a Lego Mario or Lego Zelda game with less tight controls.

Because they would another exclusive game that would reach Switch lineup and that would attract some Lego game lowers to Switch, and of course because they would earn money in any case. Lego Zelda or Mario games could co-exist with main Zelda or main Mario game on market without any problems, this would be clear win-win situation for Nintendo in any case.

Yeah, because the Lego games fans are the ones Nintendo needs...

Its not point about what fans Nintendo needs, but that something like that would be positive in any case, Switch would have interesting exclusive and Nintendo would make money on game itself. And we already saw that Nintendo is willing to invest in 3rd party exclusives, W101, Bayonetta 2, Fatal Frame 5, Devils Third, Minecraft Nintendo exlusive content...and Switch will definitely have much more exclusive deals like those, so its not relly hard to imagine that Nintendo make deal with Warner Bros/TT that they make Lego Zelda or Lego Mario while development would be overseen by Nintendo.

Why not? Lego fans are usually younger people who might buy a lot of the more colourful Nintendo titles, plus games like Minecraft and the like. If they buy Nintendo consoles when they are young, they might become fans of their series and continue supporting their consoles in the future. Besides, it's not like Nintendo can afford to shun any possible audience...

Yes, they made deals to get games their console need in order to appeal to more people. They already get all the Lego games.

Yes, and Nintendo is getting all the Lego games AND have more games kids can enjoy. How much more do they need to do to appeal to children?

Yes, but those are multi platform Lego games that could be played on other consoles to, but Lego Mario or Lego Zelda would definitely bring more people on board. Clear example of that is Minecraft Nintendo exlusive content, and Switch will definitely have much more exclusive deals like those, so its not relly hard to imagine that Nintendo make deal with Warner Bros/TT that they make Lego Zelda or Lego Mario while development would be just overseen by Nintendo.

So Mario wont draw more people in, but Lego Mario will?

They should work with developers to get games Nintendo themselves arent making. Not just combing two franchises that are already available on the system.

Who said that Mario want draw people!? But Lego Mario would draw even more people, espacily people who love Lego games beacuse game like that wouldnt be multiplatform.

Nintendo doesn't make Lego games, this would be Lego game just Zelda or Mario Lego game, same you have Hobbit Lego game, Star Wars Lego game, Marvel Lego game, Jurassic Park Lego game..

I agree with that to a point. Nintendo needs to convince 3rd parties to make games that they either can't do or refuse to do (they could totaly make a new F-Zero, but are they doing it?). That will have a bigger effect on software and hardware sales. But in the case of Lego, I think it would be different. It's not a matter of manpower and budget anymore, those games are rather cheap and several of them can be released each day, with decent quality. It's because they would be so easy to do (Nintendo would only really need to advise and watch over the project) and would have so many potential benefits, that I'm surprised they haven't done something like this already. There's enough profits to gain and barely any risk, unlike Bayonetta 2, Mario-Rabbids and possibly Bg&E2.

Lets draw in the people who love games Nintendo platforms doesnt already offer several versions of. Lets not just cram Nintendo franchises into other franchises. Work with third parties to get a more diverse library for your console instead.
