EA could still recycle the Wii game till 2015.

Yea, the whole summer, winter bullshit in the op is beyond me.  If anything EA would release its games in the fall like always and perhaps put a skeleton crew on a 6 month Switch release especially if it takes off.

$30M home + $10M mobile

To recoup the $10M of lost mobile sales (one console instead of two), DLC would have to sell at $40 with 250K downloads. $40 DLC with an attach of 50% for the original game.

The same applies to Nintendo. 10m Mario Kart sales lost on mobile can't be replaced by DLC for the home version. If DLC $ can't make up for the loss of a platform then it'll be 2xMario Kart/Smash/Splatoon/SMB etc per gen instead of one on mobile and one on home.

EA has a history of trying to sabotage Nintendo, especially with sports games. It'd be nice to see the favour returned.

Not enough people bought their games on Nintendo systems, so it wasnt worth it for EA to support them. They want to sell their games on as many systems as possible. They arent sabotaging anyone.

EA sport games should crack 1m if the Switch is successful, +less development time and less dated hardware. Should be a win for them.

I don't get these numbers. Didn't EA stop making sports games for the WiiU on their own volition? And they really didn't support the 3DS that much with sports games either. So why would they be affected with the Switch? That just means a lazy port to one system instead of two.

How did they sabotage Nintendo? Are you saying it's their fault that the Wii U failed?
