yes. It is not a dead system. a casual gamer can stick with it and be happy.

I just upgraded to PS4 Pro, so I am selling my PS4 to my brother for 100 with 2 games. He was still using PS3 and was happy enough with it.

I still turn mine on and buy games for it (albeit heavily discounted on PSN). 7th gen games still look great!

Plus, it's the best media player on consoles imo. Better than the Xbox One and PS4!

Why is it a better media player?

Forza is a sports game. Forza Horizon is not. Neither are annual, because they come out every other year. And no, Horizon 3 did not release on 360 this year.

So we can conclude that it isn't just because the series is anual it will be released as first party on older gen 10th year.

So does that mean Sony supports PS3 and MS doesn't? Or do we need to list all 1st party games released per year on each platform to see who supported better?

Why would you need to do that? According to the thread criteria they are both supporting their platforms just fine :)

Is Sony still putting software on the PS3?

Oh wow. I always thought sports games would be EA or 2K's department. Good on Sony for continuing support. With 80 million owners, not a bad idea of course.

Yeah, you know what you're gonna get with a Playstation. Longtime great support.
Only sad thing is my PS3 seems to have a problem with the power supply unit lately. It turns itself on, and then off, some times. Gonna have to replace it probably.

Now that you mention this, I have the same "problem" with my ps3. I tought some controller was defective( i have 7), and was turning the ps3 on an off, but the PSU theory sounds about right. Ill pay more attention to it, and maybe replace it if its necessary.

Or maybe it could be one of the latest updates, making it go ON to check for updates and then off when doesnt find anything new...

Absolutely.

Still getting games, still being supported with PS Plus and still being sold at retail not only in western markets, but all over the world.

You can copy content directly to the PS3 (really useful for hiding porn), my portable HDD actually Works on PS3 while it won't work on PS4 at all, I think (but I'm not positive) it supports more fornats than PS4, it has a better fast forward/select scene option than Xbox One, and the pictures/music/video selection is right there on the main menu instead of hidden in an app.

But according to you sony isn't first because they didn't release 1st party games and then because that game is a anual sports series. Very funny seeing you jumping the goal post, because that isn't moving anymore.

Yes, I totally agree with all your points, I can't even use the media portal from my notebook to vg to play my video contents on it =[ (ps4)
