Did they make this trailer before they had the action animations done? Or maybe it's really just a game about walking over squares and standing around until the enemy faints.

I just wish KOEI would stop trying to tell their own stories because they obviously suck. I don't mind reusing the same Three Kingdoms storyline over and over, but KOEI's stories are one of the things that have made me start disliking the series recently. And in general, focusing on characters in a series such as Dynasty Warriors is a huge mistake, because either you focus on a maximum of a few characters per game, or its doomed due to the amount of work doing it properly for each character would take. And just for the record, I don't personally want it to become too focused on a few characters.

So yeah, I kind of like the concept otherwise, but telling stories isn't one of KOEI's strengths so I think I'll pass this.
