First, this is not complete list, if look you will see those are only games Nintendo showed or we heard in one or other way, we basically don't know anything about any new games, but offcourse there will be new games we curently dont know about.

Second, for now this launch plan looks like killer launch plan not terrible (lol), new 3D Mario game with Splatoon remaster will alone sell tons of consoles, Skyrim will also help for people who dont want only Nintendo games, followed by one most popular and one of best MK game ever, followed by one most hyped Nintendo games ever Zelda BotW, followed by remaster of one bes Smash Bros game ever white tons of content.

So basically for now you have 3D Mario, 3D Zelda, Smash Bros, MK and great new IP like Splatoon in single year, thats for now basically one of Nintendo strongest 1st year line up for now and we will definatly have some more new games also.

4 of those 5 games you mentioned are Wii U ports. And the more exciting one is several months after launch. That's by far one of their worst lineups.

You forgetting that most of future Switch owners didn't played at all any Wii U games, despite Zelda BotW it Wii U port its completely new game and most likely will be launched on Switch first, also this list is not complete offcourse, even with this 3 Wii U remasters it make killer launch lineup, new 3D Mario and new 3D Zelda are far bigger than anything Wii U had in its whole 1st year.

You haven't heard of the upcoming movie "The January 12 Reveal"? =o

That's why I said I'm giving benefit of doubt to Nintendo. I'm replying to people that are pretty much satisfied with this lineup already.

Wii launch says hi.

You mean the system which launched with the world wide phenomenon called Wii sports and a gamecube port?

Yes, the system where 3 of every 4 Wii's sold had a TP copy

Its obviously not a complete list. 3 games at launch? Thats ridiculous.

Well, Nautilus was defending the lineup already without having more data based on Mario alone, so my point still stands. And I don't see any new third party game anywhere in the list, so why would anyone defend this particular list right now, one that even takes away Zelda for a few months, is beyond me.

So if the Switch has 50 new games at launch, but you only want the new 3D Mario game, then what?

It doesn't change the fact that those are just ports. Not new games.

Yeah, I think it's a bette first year, just with a new 3D Mario and a brand new 3D Zelda. WiiU enhanced ports are a must, it's an easy way to attract people, since the WiiU sales were far from stellar xD.

About 3D Zelda, it has to be something so groundbreaking, big and ambitious to justify those delays. The development time is insane, and we have to demand a lot for it.

This launch lineup is horrible for wii u owners.

Oh, if thats the worry, I wouldnt worry much.Nintendo is bound to announce more(and third partys too) and even though Mario will be the big launch game and Nintendo may give some space betwenn big titles(so that they dont canabalize each other sales), I think there will be a steady flow of games. In the worst case scenario, you will be holding off a few months before buying it !!!

My point is, they should announce new games for the day one lineup launch. Telling me to wait a few months because Mario ends up being the only new game is kind of telling me that the day one lineup is lackuster and I should wait for some games to come up, which is basically the same situation.

If that were the case, and either Mario is not a killer app for you, or the game dosent blow you away, I would agree. As this list stand, for a Wii U owner, it is not that tempting. But the fact is that this is simply a leak, a rumor, and assuming this is right, Laura just gave away a portion of the launch day/window titles. So there could be more first party titles to announce, more second paty ones and third partys games that we simply dont know about.

If you were to look at that and think thats all, I wouldnt call that bad, its more than decent, but I would agree its nothing spetacular. But I think its safe to say that there are more games comming.I mean, as Miyamotoo stated, the Switch cant launch with only 3 games on it.So I just chose to look on a more positive side of this.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

People are satisfied with this line up already because they are aware those almost all biggest and strongest Nintendo AAA games, but they are were aware those are not only games of course, and that we yet to hear about new games. But for now, this sounds like killer lineup up especially for people who didn't had Wii U (actually huge majority of future Switch owners).

Not to mention that only new 3D Mario is much stronger than anything Wii U had in whole Wii Us 1st year, add to that new Zelda that is one most hyped Nintendo game ever.
