no, but considering that ps4 and xbox one have 1.84 tf and 1.31 and those are an old architecture, not polaris, and considering that both consoles have mobile cpus it's not that hard for the switch to be on par or just a bit behind because Nvidia is using their new architecture with more efficiency. Also, 0 load times, thanks to cartridge and 0 game installation (thankfully!). And you can't expect a tablet with the power of a ps4 pro or a xbox one scorpio for an affordable price because that's a fantasy.

Please, stop using the TFlops like that.

Nvidia has an advantage over AMD because their drivers are better when games run in DX11, and the situation is reversed when games run in DX12, even on older AMD architectures.

But none of that matters, because unless you're Microsoft, you can't use Direct X when developing for a console, so all that talk is useless.

Dear, everything  you said, I know, I have to explain that to him but he would not understand. Other thing, I'm talking about efficiency when you compare pascal with amd's old architecture on the ps4 and xbox. put two gpus with the same power, one from amd's old architecture and one from Nvidia's new architecture, and the new one from nvidia is going to have an advantage in terms of efficiency and power consumption.

the numbers are on the paper, 0.75 tflops vs 4.2/6, there's nothing to argue little nintendo fangirl

You took it a bit too far with that statement

You're the one that used those figures and then compared them with the Switch .

And sure, Nvidia is more efficient than AMD, but we're talking about a device that will consume 15, maybe up to 20W in a best case scenario while the competing machines (PS4 Slim & XboxOne S) use more than 3x that power and are build in the same manufacturing process. Not even Nvidia is that efficient.

And let's not forget that, while Maxwell or Pascal can do certain tasks better than AMD's Tahiti, the latest can also do certain tasks better than what Nvidia has.

The use of that term is bannable. You should refrain yourself from posting that because of that and because it does nothing in your favor or what you're trying to deffend.

oh come on... how many too positive Nintendo topics are made by her daily? i'm 95% confident that she's a Nintendo PR hired to post on forums, like just look at her history, it's sad, and if she's not paid to do all the Nintendo damage controll and she's doing it for free in ther free time then that's just sad

all i'm trying to say is, we don't have the specs, as a matter of fact we don't have the actual architecture, could be pascal could be volta and we don't know the optimization. So the "switch is weak and underpowered" statement is not fair just yet, weaker than the ps4 or xbox, maybe, but how weak? also, we are talking about a tablet here (form factor and ignoring the dock) and that's other thing, the dock could have a high performance mode or something like that.

I'm  little and I'm a Nintendo fangirl, it's ok.
