Danganronpa?
mZuzek said: #31 - This run and gun platformer has one of the most brilliant opening stages of all time. #30 - Of all the things this character has been the "hero of" over the years, this is undeniably the lamest one. #29 - A remake of one of Nintendo's oldest classics, which had indeed aged horribly. #28 - "Yeah, right, ____. You always right. That's my homie, Mr. Right." |
30: The Wind Waker? I mean who wants to be Hero of Wind when you could be Hero of Time?
29: Metroid Zero Mission.

#31. This is pure guesswork, but Contra III: The Alien Wars?
KLXVER guessed Super Mario Galaxy for my hint, but although the word "galaxy" is mentioned in the very first sentence of this game and anything that has anything to do with this franchise, his guess is pretty far off. Time for hint 2;
#29: Garbage is, on a certain planet, out of sight, out of mind, says he.
Hint 2: Says he after a little persuasion by showing your lasersword of course. You know, the bartender. Blue skin, red eyes?
#29 Super Mario 64
I never personally owned an N64 growing up, but one of my friends did have it and one of the games we played the most on the console was Super Mario 64. It was something completely different from everything I had seen before. I only had an NES at the time, so something like this was absolutely awesome to play and even just watch. This is my second favourite game in the entire series, and I can still pick the game up and enjoy it with no issues (As long as the analog stick on the controller isn't completely worn out.)
Hint for #28:
Two parallel worlds in conflict as saving one means endangering the other. The villain is named after a tree in Norse mythology.
Number 28: This game debuted on 3DS, but was later ported to everything.
Number 27: This entry in a popular franchise (unlike most of the other entries) gave you the option of completing huge parts of the game in whatever order you like. That isn't necessarily why I love it though.
Number 26 and 24: 26 did to PC, what 24 did to home consoles.
Number 25: This games character returns to platforming for the first time in 2 console generations, and for the first time in 3 console generations, it's in a 2D platformer.

Just remember to save your game in case your DS dies. 29. This platformer brought a classic 2D platformer back and since then, this series has been on every Nintendo system since. |
29. New Super Mario Bros.
Guess-frenzy incoming:

Paper Mario The Thousand-Year Door

28: Resident Evil: Revelations
27: Zelda A Link Between Worlds
25: ... gonna have to think about that... EDIT: Ow Rayman, clever axum.
26 and 24: Tough, maybe GoldenEye and Counterstrike? Or something.

30: Animal Crossing Wild World? Long-shot though, I don't know.
29: New Super Mario Bros.
