Okay, I got my pro a few hours ago and so far I've been able to download enough patches to test a few games on it, so I'll give my impression of them here (note: I only have a 1080p TV):
Rise of the Tomb Raider: The difference is remarkable. I highly suggest playing on high framerate mode, and then switching over to the high res or enhanced graphics mode to see how the game appear to play in slow motion. In any mode, however, there is a clear bump to the image quality and the game plays much better in the high framerate mode.
Call of Duty Infinite Warfare: The image quality has received a noticeable boost. The game already looked quite clean to begin with, but now it verges on pristine, especially after I switch off the film grain.
World of Final Fantasy: There is clearly a glitch with this game's pro mode, as instead of downsampling it actually displays at a lower res on a 1080p tv. There is clearly something wrong here and hopefully SE fixes it soon.
Bound: A beautiful game to begin with, it looks even more pristine now.
I have Ratchet, Shadow of Mordor, Uncharted 4, Titanfall 2 and Infamous Fight Light installing, but considering some of them are digital it could take a while before I give any impressions of them. From the other games, I would expect a much cleaner image and a smoother gameplay experience for those with 1080p tvs, with the occasional game, like Tomb Raider (and hopefully FFXV!), providing a transformative experience.
The system itself looks quite nice and seems a bit glossier than the OG ps4. The UI seems a bit faster as well. I can't really say anything about the system's noise level as I tend to have fans on in the rooms where I play, which drown out the system. The disc loading sound does sound similar to the other ps4s, but the system feels quite a bit cooler as it plays (as in, to the touch).
UI is a bit snappier compared to my OG. Loading times seems a bit shorter. WoFF was weird, it's blurry at times, S-E fucked up the settings somehow. It's not blurry always and when it's not the graphics seem different, really difficult to describe but I'd say slightly more vibrant. Didn't test much though. Pro has been very quiet, definitely less noisy than OG, there was once this disturbing noise when the disc stopped spinning but only then.
I cannot imagine toilet-free life.
Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Yeah, definitely a glitch on SE's part. Every other game I've tested looks gorgeous and then WoFF looks like the Vita version. I hope they sort it out soon.

Yeah, I bought the same. Wasn't easy to find a shop delivering it on time, only one online shop had it in stock last weekend.

"VR Luge" (PS VR Worlds) also BIG improvements (better drawing distance, much less jittering). "Ocean Descent" (PS VR Worlds) is also prettier than on PS4, but the difference ain't that big. The head tracking seems to be much better, but that is probably a fix for both versions, not only in Pro mode. |
This is what I wanted to hear! I'm stuck at work. They literally delivered mine as I walked out the door to get into my car.
Is the resolution better or are the games still kind of blurry? Would you mind watching some of the video apps and telling me if the quality has improved? Hulu VR was unwatchable!

It is pretty much the only 2 TB hdd that will get better performance than the drive that comes in the PS4 Pro. A 2 TB 7200 RPM drive is very expensive for some reason. In my current PS4 I have a 7200 RPM 1 TB drive. I would prefer a 7200 RPM drive in my PS4 Pro but I am not paying 300$ lol.
I just do not see how an SSHD can offer better performance than a 7200 RPM drive in a game console. But luckily the PS4 Pro has slightly faster loading times than the current PS4 due to is upgrade to SATA 3.0 so I am sure that my SSHD and SATA 3.0 I will be at atleast (probably faster in fact) than my current 7200 RPM drive in my PS4

Are you getting HDR on ROTTR? I have a Sony Z9D and I have hooked into all 4 HDMI ports and this game won't put out HDR for me. Infamous, The Last of Us, and Ratchet and Clank are all putting out HDR on HDMI 2 and 3, but ROTTR won't do HDR for nothing.

I think it could be DOF related, like focus is too extreme. My game loaded to Coloseum and I noticed it instantly, tonberry behind the counter becomes extremely blurry once you move further away. Luckily I'm done with WoFF now, it could take some time to get this fixed.
