the original Ps4 was sold for £149 including Fifa 17. the original Xbox One is on sale for £179 including several free games.
they need to get rid of old stock for the new model. shelfspace and old inventory is more expensive than a (big) pricecut

MS 2 for 2 in their "months that matter" window. Hard to see them making it 3 for 3 with the pro releasing this month. Although, at this point, stranger things have happened.

Quite a surprise to me. I thought PSVR would help PlayStation take the month. Now I am less sure about the Pro. Even though it has sold well on Amazon, it seems Amazon has lost its edge in being able to tell how the market is moving.

It will be very interesting to see how this plays out. I have said in the past that the Universal Windows Platform would be massive for Xbox, and if they continue to hold on, then I think that is a huge reason behind the push. I know Gears and Forza just came out, but I have not seen any indication tat they are moving hardware, escpeciallly considering the lackluster sales they have had compaired to previous entries. I think the era of the Xbox replacing PC's is happening, and that is a good thing on the mass market side.

If UWP is spear heading this XBO resergence, then Sony needs to get on the ball, and start letting a braoder spectrum of apps into the PlayStation ecosystem. They have talked about wanting to use PSVR to turn consoles into the smart device of the home, nw they need to back up those claims.

149GBP is for the 500GB PS4. This is the 1TB X1. And this X1 clearance has been going on for over a month now.

No surprice here, Just like I predicted for september also,  poeple don't want the ps4 slim with the pro in the corner. Now november will be extremly interesting. We will know how iportant the UHD Bluray player is in the US XD.

Seems like Amazon may have lost its mojo. Maybe it's predictive value for hardware is only reliable if the hardware is reasonably high in the top 100. If the top selling hardware sku is only in the high 40s perhaps sales are too low for it to be a reliable indicator of the over all market.

Congrats to xbox. Will be interesting to see some hardware and software numbers.
