People who don't use FB feel the need to tell us that for some reason. 

FB is amazing, you can have zero friends on it and still have fun and BE PRODUCTIVE using it.

Pages of artists, bands, magazines, scientific journals, original comedy content, news, and pages of service providers to keep up with offers and deals etc

You can join groups made up of of local citizens selling their used stuff, groups of people in your field to ask and get answers and so on.

And shoot me for this, but Facebook ads are awesome. Many times it suggested local shops, online services, free or paid courses of interest that I ended up using.
