Hey! Remember Cruis'n' USA, Cruis'n' Exotica on the arcades/N64?
The series is coming back to arcades baby. Nintendo just licensed arcade developer Raw Thrills to launch a new Cruis'n' game for arcades in 2017
And here's the trailer. You are not ready for what you're about to see and HEAR... (oh man that theme song is probably the worst thing you'll hear all year, I'm serious)
Dev info: Raw Thrills is made up of ex-Midway devs who've done a light gun game for Jurassic World and Fast and Furious arcade games. Probably not to be confused with the awful Fast and Furious games for consoles - or the last developer who made a Cruis'n' game by porting a PS2 Fast and Furious game to the Wii. Different dev names - but maybe same people? It's hard to tell.
I dig the crazy physics. I tend to prefer arcade-style racers like Forza Horizon or NFS. But this is on a whole different level man. I don't think I've seen a new racing game like this since the 90s. It looks fun, but it also looks terrible. Character models look bad, but the rest of the game graphically looks OK. I'm just really shocked this exists, in both good and bad ways. This trailer made me laugh and cry.
This could be a fun eShop game on the Switch. I also picture this as Spurge's favorite game on the Switch.
I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016
