It looks cool as fuck but when I go to stores there's literally like no games for it. Least Wii u has a it of presence. For me personally there just isn't good enough exclusIves to warrant a purchase. It would be a games machine I would play more comfortably out in public then say my 3ds though.......

All of you are helping with my decision immensely. It's not one I'll make today though. I'm gonna do a little more research and think about it before making the investment.

So thanks again all.

I've owned 3 Vitas; I'd recommend it 10 times out of 10 if you love Japanese games (which I do; so owning one makes sense)

Hmm.... time to buy a Vita again.

So, you bought a Vita, sold it, bought it again, sold it, bought another, then sold it too, now want another one? LOOOL.  :) I have bought 3 Vita's as well, but have them all. 2 OLED and an LCD.

It's a great console and completely underrated! There are so many underdogs (Soul Sacrfice, Tearaway, Gravity Rush...) and great big franchise spin-offs (Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Killzone Mercenary, LittleBigPlanet Vita, Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation..) for the console. The indie and Japense support is insane too! I can only recommend this masterpiece of a handheld!

How does Vita play on TV? I'm losing hope that Wipeout 2048 will ever get a console port, so Vita will be my only option. Is there a HDMI cable for tv play? Does it look ok?

You would need to buy a PSTV. It's unfortunate that there is no way to simply do this with a cable.

Hmm, pstv is more expensive than the vita here, plus you need to use an exploit to get it to run wipeout 2048.
I thought it would be as simple as using the tv out cable with the psp :/
Too bad it doesn't have reverse remote play (I guess the extra lag would kill wipeout doing that)

I have had a pstv for 2 years and have never even used it. I live in Regina, and got mine at Best Buy for $50. At the time, it was more expensive to buy a standalone duel-shock, so I bought the pstv which come with a duel-shock AND a vita memory card. Sucks that you can't find it at good price.

I got a Vita a while ago. I bought it mostly to play Misadventures of Tron Bonne (the original goes for 200+ on ebay). Only bought one game for it aside from that.

I like the system itself, but I'm not super into JRPGs or niche Japanese games, so it's not all that useful for me.
