The rating system is a joke. I think it should be set back to 0 for all games and when you vote it costs some $VG, might help to stop pointless useless votes.

Perhaps with the changes to the site being implemented by ioi the problem might be fixed.
Given the existence of game rankings, metacritic, etc. I think unless Ioi can come up with a way of keeping game scores in line (i.e. preventing stupid voting) I'd rather see the scores dropped and just have game pages focused on sales data and feedback and links to metacritic/game rankings instead.
Given I doubt he can stop silly voting I'd say just drop the scores (which is what people are doing anyway, right?)
Personally I'd bring back 'games I own' but allow each member to score their own games - so if you look at my profile you see what I rate COD4, etc.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
This is pretty funny, and just goes to show how broken the game rankings are. Time for an overhaul of the ranking system! Personally, I'd like to just see an average score similar to metacritic for each game. If you must have a user ranking feature, add that in as a separate score, where only members can vote once on each game.

according to ioi and all the mods, yes it does, or else they wouldn't put all that features into it.
